Cookeville is a pretty conservative town.

From the article you linked:

“Upper Cumberland Pride also claimed that the drag performer wasn’t dressed as a member of the clergy, nor did his performance criticize any religion, including Christianity. The organization also claimed that no children were ever present at any of their events, and that no sexual connotation was present in their performances.”

I saw the video and one of the performers was dressed as a Franciscan friar. As a Catholic I was offended to see that.

What! Would a member of the LGBTQ lie? I am shocked.

That is sickening. I hope you haven't mailed them a nickel's worth of alumni donations. For shame.

Friar “Tucked”? 😆

Sorry - I mean no disrespect I just saw a dad joke and had to take it.

Feel free to guess, I have no idea.

I’m still going to applaud not teaching kids how strip clubs work…
Well, that goes without saying. IMO. I'd question everything they teach and go through the departments with a fine tooth comb.

And the video started off with the "monk" on stage taking $ from a kid.

Thank God SOMEONE of influence finally stepped up and struck this despicable trend down like lightning. People need to realize how obviously hazardous this is to children and impressionable adults. This has NO place in society at all. None!
