Murkowski and Collins vote no on Hegseth in test vote, but Pete

I have learned some very important things in my lifetime. Liars are the most untrusting people. Why? Because they feel everyone else lies all the time like they do, so it makes it near impossible for them to be trusting people. I feel that people who use race as a crutch in an argument are the same. THEY are racists, and feel like everyone else is too.
Like most libs, kalim really knows almost nothing about the topics we are discussing. He sees when we are critical of lib, and that upsets him. But he doesn't know enough about the topic to debate it intelligently, so he resorts to personal attack and mistruths in an attempt to deflect us onto yelling about that, instead of staying focused on what lib are doing wrong.

@kalimgoodman never realized the obvious: If Lloyd Austin was qualified to be Sec of Defense, then Trump would have hired him.
To further the point: who was worse? Lloyd Austin or Milley?

Milley was far worse. (a bad political hack) Lloyd was (is) congenial, I think generally a good guy, but of course showed horrific judgement when he did not tell Biden that was going under general a.

I believe you are confusing or conflating time served or experience with serial incompetence. If you are horrifically bad at a job for a really long time that doesn’t mean you have more experience at it in real terms …
I agree but you guys are conflating politics with competence and you guys are very stubborn about it. It makes the conversation really tough.

Someone can be unsuccessful but qualified.

Boom. Not a drop of racism or sexism in any of your comments.

@kalimgoodman - there is your litmus test.
Oh man. I'm always stunned/surprised/shocked but some of you lack of understanding how racism and sexism works. You know that you can be racist towards black people and be black? Same as show sexism to woman and be woman? There were KKK members with black grandchildren lol. There are men that thinks a woman should be kitchen but get excited if their daughter becomes a boss.

You guys liking Donalds or Noem doesn't change anything. People tend to feel different about race/genders to those close to them.

No I'm not accusing anyone of being those things on here. Just a discussion.

How so? They literally said that the reason that Kamala lost votes from Black Men, like Kalim, is due to Misogyny.

The view votes left and progressive as does Kalim.

Kalim is claiming the right (this board) are the ones obsessed with race and gender.

When in fact, it is the left, as evidenced by the View.

Ball fielded and tackled on their 10.

First down…
The right overall is 100% obsessed with race/gender/sexuality. Just watch Tucker, Kelly, Fox, OANN, Newsmax, Bannon, etc. Every damn monologue is about DEI, CRT, Trans, gays, etc. Then go watch the left outlets, their monologues are about Trump lol.

This is like claiming the local news station is obsessed with the weather cause they talk about it every day.

I think you’re splitting hairs here. I think that someone who is unsuccessful with their job is inherently unqualified.

I can point to examples in my own profession ...

Milley literally contacted the Chinese and told them he will give them advance warning if Trump makes a move against them.

Textbook definition of treason.

Let me clean up what you posted, because AGAIN..you entirely miss the point. Some people can look qualified on paper....but are horrible on the job. They call this the "Peter principal". This above happens frequently when people are promoted for ANY reason OTHER than they were the best candidate for the job. By being promoted becuse of race, religion gender or sexual persuasion instead of by merit. In other words...just about EVERY FJB cabinet member. And the prrof is in how incredibly horrible of a job that he did. See border, and less than 2 weeks later PROBLEM SOLVED

I think BOTH can be true. My example would be football, you can be unsuccessful at QB but still be considered an NFL QB/player...See Jeff Driskel or Feleipe Franks ;).
