His offense and QB, with his play calling has got MSU playing as well as anyone in the conference the last few weeks again, and as well as anyone offensively honestly..

It's as quiet as it can get in Kyle Field

Last time our offense was any good, guess who the OC was.. Then with the better and more nfl ready college team the next year, addazi ruined it then ran Meyer off the following year..

Not only was it just the last time we weren't awful, we were elite.. If Mullen let his past feelings go or whatever, with the talent he'd have he's never possessed since here, but as a head coach.. Our offense would fly right away, it even be fine to bring in Grantham as DC with our talent and just do the opposite of what we've been doing, just blitzing every down like crazy the way he does.. Now their defense has been playing better doing it and blowing out teams...

First win in College Station since 1913!

There's no question he'd win here, and he'd get a hoss athlete at QB immediately and run the best offense we've seen, since literally the last time he was in Orange and Blue up top...

It’s one thing to think Mullen would do well now, after 8 years as a head coach.

But please stop pretending we couldn’t stand the guy when he was here.

I’m too drunk to bring up the Mullen Play Call Wheel, but for Christ’s ****ing sakes, we all rolled our eyes because all he did was use the immense talent of Tebow and Harvin to destroy people in the same tired dive plays and off tackles and passes blah blah blah. REALLY HARD to run nonsense with an ass load of great athletes.

Spoiler alert, we don’t have those right now.

That’s all true.
But he’s not doing that now. He has shown an ability to develop players and more importantly shown an ability to adapt his offense to his roster.
His offense is hard as hell to defend right now.

I'd take those plays over the shizshow we have seen the past 8 or so years.

Hell Doug Johnson, Jesse Palmer used to be our complaint..then the Mullen wheel. Shiz was minor compared to what we've experienced.

I wasn't a fan of Mullen while he was here but he's gotten better. Not just saying that because he might come here either I've said that over the years. Their offense is more diverse now and he has more of a downfield passing game. Also uses more tempo than he ever used at UF. I'm guessing a lot of the change has to do with the fact that he can't just rely on his talent to beat the man across from him anymore like he could at UF. He actually has to coach.

I think Sumlin is probably gone. Going to be very hard for him to go 9-3 now. They probably end up with Kelly as their new coach.

A&M isn't firing Sumlin especially after that fake letter. He'll get a pass because of his QB too.

At 8-4 I guess there is a chance he could remain with the freshman QB playing but I think his fate is sealed if they lose to Auburn at home this week.

When Geoff Collins took the UF defensive coordinator job, he called it a lateral move. That's the guy you want?

Nobody is going after Jimbo. There isn't anybody that is going to pay him the ridiculous amount that FSU got duped into paying him.

Yeah. That’s all ‘agent speak’. Jimbo’s agent is the champion of getting his client a raise because every school with a vacancy is “going after him hard”. I mean he’s negotiated his buyout to 40 fricken million. And his salary is 3 times what he’s worth.

"That Mullen’s agent is has reportedly eased up on Florida during the McElwain exit negotiations suggests that Mullen’s camp is at least interested in exploring the UF job.

Mullen-to-Florida makes good sense as a rumor, given his success and his dual ties to the university and its current athletic director. That Mullen has emerged as a factor in McElwain’s firing is only going to stoke those flames."

I think Sumlin better dig up another one of those letters pretty quick. If he is canned I hope A&M doesn't complicate our search too much. I think they would consider hiring Kelly unlike us.
