Brady Hoke has our DL playing 3 yards off the LOS in the hope of stopping opposing RBs 5-8 yards downfield instead of having them run for 50 yard TDs. It ain't worth a damn. No pressure on the Q/B since he has the DEs and DTs playing Patty-Cake with OL. In the 5 games prior to this past week, the UT defense gave up something like 2600 yards Still managed to win 4 of them.
The UT offense is better than Florida's. I say that with no hesitation. Our OL is better, our Q/Bs are better, our W/R corps and R/Bs are better.
Our ST is one of the nation's best.
But that UT defense is one of if not the worst in all of D-1 football and the sad thing is, they don't have to be. They have the talent. But I'm totally gobsmacked at any intelligent thought going into what the hell the coaches are trying to accomplish.
Been a long time since I didn't care about this game which once determined who played for the SECC in November. But these are two bad teams with two bad coaches. I think I may watch a Randolph Scott western on You-tube instead.

They seemed to deal with that FCS team on a lot of those sweep plays. Gave up some stuff but not that bad imo. GT not sure what to think because a lot of teams struggle with that and then you will see a team with basically the same defenders and DC shut it down decent one season and get killed it by it the next season.
