FSU is apparently paying NIU $1.6 million for this game. I'm not sure I understand why they are paying them so much, but good for NIU, I guess.

Years ago Bama was playing Utah State, and a Utah State fan (of all things) showed up the week of the game to talk smack.
We ended up beating them handily, he came back after the game, some Bama fan told him "We just beat your ass!" He replied "And you paid for our new indoor practice field!"
How do you argue with that?
That gives me an idea. Isn't Texas A&M the richest program in the country right now? Maybe we can get Jimbo to pay us to go down to College Station for an ass beating in exchange for a couple of million.

There's generally no shame in losing a dogfight to Clemson, or getting pounded by Saban. But Texas A&M is paying Jimbo a king's ransom.

I really don’t think he’ll do that well there and I don’t care about the results this season at all. But I’m having a hard time seeing his offense be successful there. All those Texas HS run pass heavy spread offenses, hell a lot of those HS coaches have moved up from HS to college they’ve been so good. Jimbo has a power run game model and that’s not the kinda talent available to him out there. Soon as he starts leaving Texas to recruit those powerful HS coaches are gonna get pissed off. And that’s what he’s gonna have to do because I don’t see those QB’s out there going to play in his offense.
They actually did better today than I thought they would, at least in the first 20 mins or so. Tua had an off game throwing the ball, and still completed 70% of his passes. But he did have a few bad ones, not sure if that was on him or the A&M defense.
In 2 years A&M will be Top 10 all day. The Bama-A&M game will decide the West every year.
Watched a few plays after we went up 30 points and it appeared KY's defense was dominating at the line of scrimmage and they were bottling MSU's QB up where he wasn't getting anything hardly.
And Kentucky beats #14 MSU by 21 points.

Seems like every year under Stoops, it seemed like UK reached a point where they were about to get over the hump, then they crumbled. Maybe this is finally the year.
Looks like you boys might be pretty good. Alabama vs Kentucky would be a very odd SEC title game, show that Harris kid he picked the wrong school
