What are you even talking about? I don’t see much talk about Manning to UF. We already beat FSU so not sure they were showing any life. But if 5-7 record is showing life then so be it.
I mean if Mario goes to UM, it might make a recruit or two tougher for us but its F$U that will suffer the most from that hire.
I only brought it up because, living in New Orleans and working with a couple of people that are high school and current day friends with Cooper, that he expressed interest in Florida. Why? Same reason he considered TAMU.
It's a business. Where can I get the best shot to propel myself to the NFL with the best pick?
You think the Manning family wants him at Alabama? Well, that's a strong choice for him. Why? 3 straight QBs looking at Heisman contention.

The old lady is a former Nole soccer player who's still very involved with their athletic dept & I've seen with my own eyes the massive improvements in culture & infrastructure from the Taggart days to now. It's beyond night & day. I don't say that so much as a nod to them now but to what they were when Norvell first got there. Even though I mentioned their record that's more of the "life" of which I speak.
But like Napier, Norvell is an impressively sharp dude with serious recruiting chops, too. I'm just saying, relative to where they were when he arrived, they're not as bad off as that record would imply & by the looks of his recruiting ability won't be going away quietly, let alone being killed off by the hiring of Cristabol & Napier..

I've seen a couple people mention this & I want it to be true but don't follow the logic. Why wouldn't his hiring be just as potentially problematic for us as well? We're all fighting for the same dudes. What am I missing?
Well for one, FSU and Miami are in the same conference, so that's different.
But we're all fighting the poachers from out of state and unless Mario gets the Rock to drop half a billion dollars and also learns how to coach, it terribly worried about Miami.
Yeah I feel that part. Thought there might be more to it I wasn't catching or something.
And yeah I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with Mario. He'll be a pricklier thorn on the trail but beyond that he's like a .500 lifetime coach. Upgrade from Manny? Sure. Impending juggernaut? Not at all likely..
