Brother-in-law hit the lottery and got Tuesday practice round tickets. We got 4 people going, playing golf on Monday(West Lake CC) and Wednesday(River Club).

Has anyone gone and if so…what are some of the recommendations once on site? Also, bars and/or restaurants to hit up in the area?

Should be a great time, I cannot wait to knock out this bucket list item.

Should be a great time. I have never been. I've been to Pebble Beach and Shinnicock Hills on Long Island for a US Open, but never here. Augusta is a little shit hole town, but maybe some ABB will treat you well. i have nothing really to offer in suggestions.

Bring your walking shoes, lol. That walk down from the clubhouse onto the course is easy but the way back up is brutal. Very hilly course. Everyone should go at least once, but spectating is really tough. I’m spoiled going to the Player’s Championship every year though. I’ve bent o a lot of majors on that states and also some other PGA events, but TPC is hands down the best venue for being close to the players and watching a tournament. That said, it’s a people place and the food/drinks are cheap but give yourself an hour to wade through the souvenir tent, it gets absolutely crazy busy in there. I’m actually going for the Friday round, can’t wait. No phones though so wear a watch if you plan on meeting back up with people. Have a designated time and contingency plan is the best advice I can give you if you decide to branch off from your group. .
