Manchin is a moron: What does he expect when you play with snakes?

Orrrrrr.......Manchin knew what he was doing all along, he supported the dems cause he wants to stay in Washington, and now he's concocting this 'I'm furious, I had no idea they were going to do this!' bullshit story to try to fool the people back home in ruby red West Virginia.

The morons are the voters back in WV that keep buying his garbage and who keep voting him back into the Senate.

Unless he switches parties, I don't think he will get reelected if he runs again.

Manchin furious with Biden White House over climate law's implementation: 'This is bulls--t'

My contempt for Manchin is worse than Biden and cocaine Mitch who I loath. . He’s a fraud and a liar. He’s only acting upset because he’s trailing in the polls by 15-25 points. The lowlife SCUM sold out his state and America.

Manchin is a smart politician...
He is clever in an "aw-shucks" kind of way. He has managed to stay in office for how long? 40+ years? For a guy with average (BBA WVA) talent and moderate charisma, that is pretty remarkable.

He saved the country from removing the filibuster, but I do not see him getting re-elected. He managed to get more leverage last year than I would have suspected.

He needs to switch parties, asap, (should have done so back in 2020 when it would have been really meaningful), but the majority of WVA voters will view him like those in the comments above, dismiss him as a semi-trustworthy "RINO" and he will likely lose re-election.

I live 10 miles from the WV border and based on people I talk to I have no clue how he keeps winning.

It has to be population centers in places like Morgantown, I can't make any more sense of it.

I doubt he even tries to run again. I don't think switching parties would be enough to save him but West Virginia is open primary right now which might make him try it. I guess there is a chance he might try to run for Governor as a Rep also since the current one is going to run for his Senate set it appears and he is still eligible to run for that I guess.

So Manchin keeps getting re-elected even though he has no support?

Huh. Where have we heard this story before?
My cross section is definitely more rural, but I’ve yet to meet a West Virginian that supports the guy.

Our plant is 70% West Virginians and I’ve never seen a Manchin bumper sticker. Trump and confederate flags? Lots. But no democrats.

You are in an area where REAL Americans live!

Probably. Just like I don't live in Broward (Coward) County. Bunch of commie cucks there.

Side note: Today I went to my home town to see my 90 year old mom. When I was leaving town, I got behind an old coot driving that was taking their half out of the middle of the road. I ended up blowing by them at 80 miles per hour while this person was doing 20. Stupid ass still had a Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker. Sorry I didn't have a cow catcher on the front of the truck.

It will be very difficult for Manchin to beat Jim Justice, the current governor and his 64% approval rating, coupled with Manchin's last dreadful vote that West Virginian's ain't soon gonna forget.
