LSU vs. Auburn

I've seen nothing so far that makes me think Ole Miss isn't a top three team. Have you igloo?

No...it's just odd to see a 14-point launch. Maybe if they started out ranked #10, but something about that team had pollsters thinking #17 was appropriate (maybe the bowl loss?). Now, what happens if UF beats them in 2 weeks? Will they drop back down to #17 or will they simply slide to #6 and UF gets catapulted? Definitely curious to see what happens over the next month. Lots of exciting football!

Not saying Miss St isn't a #3 caliber team...I'd just like to see more before throwing them up there. Maybe it goes along with why I hate pre-season polls. FTR, I don't like ND being ranked as high as they are, but they did just beat GT...so there's that.

Also, while I'm at it. OSU plays ONE Top 25 team. That is all.

Ole Miss and Auburn both have plenty of tough games left to either justify their current rankings, or fall from them.

I get what you're saying igloo. But I guess I would have argued that 17 was too low to begin with. They certainly pass the eye test. But that's no sign that they can finish #3 in the polls. A lot of football and a tough schedule ahead of them.
I have to agree with you on principle though. Several of the higher rated teams don't pass the eye test and don't look like they deserve to be there. Some shouldn't be in the top 25 at all

Ya, the rankings are kinda funky right now. Why is Auburn ranked, but UF and UM aren't? They didn't pass the eye test week one much less the last TWO games. Weird.
