In 2024, almost 2025, I should not have to deal with "what are you doing in this neighborhood, boy" no matter how politely it's phrased.

Roger that. My apologies. After 8 years in the Marines and 7 in law enforcement I get a bit offended at getting cuffed and stuffed for a traffic stop and then interrogated by some racist peckerwood asking me what I'm doing in my own damn neighborhood.
You had me scratching my head about this until I read "somebody's" FB post. If you were downtown (ie, near the stadium), I'd wear that like a badge of honor. 😂

I don't feel like starting a separate thread but have any of you seen or heard from @Dannygator1989? It's been several months since his last post.
Let's talk old and crusty here. When I was on my junior high basketball team our team got a bus ride and tickets to the Ville , I saw Artis Gilmore and JU play in that old dump the Colliseum against FSU the year they made it to the finals against UCLA. I saw a ton of rock concerts in that same place later on, but the accoustics in that dump were horrendous. But those are still good memories.
I ran into Artimus in a golf clubhouse in the mid 90's. I made him suffer through him getting dunked on by Sydney Wicks in a NC game against UCLA, then made him sign a cocktail napkin for signature. He softened up when I told him I'd watched him through his college career. He did it but had that look in his eye, " you one crazy MFer".
