"If you say "well you know I think abortion is always bad", "Well I think sometimes it's necessary", that's a debate I am familiar with. But if you're telling me that abortion is a net positive good? What are you saying? Well, you are arguing for child sacrifice. Obviously."

"None of this makes sense in political terms. What you're watching isn't a political movement, it's evil...and evil is characterized by ....violence, hate, disorder, division, disorganization and filth. If you are all-in on the things that produce the last basket of options, what you are really advocating for is evil."

He ended the speech by suggesting we should ALL be spending at least 10 minutes a day praying for this nation.

Why did Tucker Carlson leave Fox News? Here's what we know.
A lawsuit against the network stemming from Dominion Voting Systems' defamation case appears to have been a central factor in the split.

Tucker Carlson's six-year run as the host of his own primetime show at Fox News is over, the network announced Monday, ending a chapter made more tenuous by former President Donald Trump's loss in the 2020 election.

While the exact reason for the split between Fox News and its highest-rated host remains unclear, a lawsuit against the network stemming from Dominion Voting Systems' defamation case appears to have been a central factor.

BTW, I was told by multiple people that I need to watch this speech, that it's amazing. I was told the highlights, and my impression was 'Sounds like he put it all on the line, since it was on Friday, I'm guessing he knew he had been fired and this was him calling out what caused him to be fired."

Watching the speech, it's clear he thought he would still have a job on Monday. He even at one point mentioned he wanted someone to come on his show so he could interview them.

I suspect one of the liberals saw this and it was the last straw for them.

Funny thing is, he doesn't talk about liberals. He just talks about what is wrong in this country today. What is evil.

And I guess the liberals saw themselves in what he was saying.

I think the same. I think Murdoch was probably getting SERIOUS heat from his kids...Paul Ryan, other elite friends that he runs with, establishment politicians, etc. And it seems like a concerted effort from the left to get rid of him, coupled with this very conservative speech was the straw that broke the camel's back. I think Dominion had almost nothing to do with his ouster

Oh but it is….. a net positive.

Just saw a vid by Bongino...he SWEARS this is not it. He believes the people who want war in Ukraine, stole the election...the "cabal" along with media outlets got him fired. Glen Beck believes it is because of Murdock's fiancée and mentioning God. So too many people have too many different opinions..

They can both be right. And I think they are. Tucker was on his way out, we all knew that as soon as he put the Jan 6th tapes out then they were immediately stopped after the first night.

  • Sources told an LA Times reporter that Rupert Murdoch himself made the decision to fire Tucker Carlson.
  • Murdoch fired him for two reasons, these sources say.
  • Meanwhile, other outlets reported that Fox Corporation CEO Lachlan Murdoch and Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott made the call.
Tucker Carlson and Fox News parted ways earlier on Monday. Now differing reports are emerging as to why — and who made the decision.

People familiar with the situation told Stephen Battaglio of the Los Angeles Times that Rupert Murdoch himself made the call and that he did it for two reasons.

  • Murdoch was responding to a suit filed against Carlson and other executives by a former producer named Abby Grossberg that alleged: "a work environment that subjugates women based on vile sexist stereotypes."
  • Murdoch was tired of Tucker Carlson's conspiracy theories about the January 6, 2021 riots at the Capitol.

I agree that Murdoch may be attempting to publicly distance himself from increasingly toxic far-right conspiracies. The $~800 million payout was just a convenient excuse to pull the trigger.

Of course, Murdoch was apparently fine with the same conspiracies for years.

Tucker is already wealthy. He probably got a huge settlement on his contract as well. If not, Tucker will be ripping revenues out of their hands and taking market share elsewhere, including the advertising revenues.

Fox News on the other hand, will not be fine. Unforced error, get woke, become irrelevant.
We said the same thing when O'Reilly got punted for telling the truth.

They will move Jesse into his slot, and in 2-3 years when Jesse starts telling the truth, they will punt him.

Now if Jesse quit NOW, then they would be in some short-term trouble. But otherwise they will be fine. Thankfully for them, MSNBC and CNN are complete gutter juice.

O'Reilly is estimated to be making 8-12 million a year now at 68 years old doing podcasts and answers to no one. Not sure what media personality that age is making that anywhere on this planet. But you are right about the competition, the bar is set so low that it may not kill them.

His last contract at Fox was for $25 Million a year. O'Reilly is fine, but he's also making 33-50% of what he was at Fox.

O'Reilly though is past his prime is pretty much my point. Tucker has to be 20 years younger. It really depends on how much energy Carlson wants to put into being top dog again. Speaking for myself personally, all of these guy's net worth is serious FU money. :)

Howard Stern weighs in on Tucker Carlson exit: He forgot he was ‘worker bee’ for Murdoch

Media personality Howard Stern weighed in on former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s abrupt exit from the news network, saying the conservative pundit forgot he was a “worker bee” for Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox Corp.

During Wednesday’s episode of his long-running radio program “The Howard Stern Show,” Stern referred to Carlson’s departure as “a good life lesson,” noting how Murdoch still let Carlson go even though the host was a big money earner for the network, according to Mediaite.

“I’ve been a big money earner for radio companies for a long time now, but there’s one thing I never forget. My boss is super wealthy. Like if you work for Rupert Murdoch, you know that motherf—– got so many billions that as important as Tucker Carlson might be to the Fox Network, he will fire your ass if you’re a pain in the ass,” Stern said on Wednesday’s program.

Stern added: “You’re nothing because he’s still gonna have billions upon billions upon billions of dollars and own a giant corporation. And you know, you cannot f— up. You can only push them so far.”
