I drove a 1956 Plymouth Belvidere 2 door hardtop to Homestead AFB. While stationed there, every time I stopped to gas up, someone approached me offering to buy the Plymouth.

Later while stationed at Clinton-Sherman AFB, Oklahoma, a buddy from San Diego had his like new 1968 Chevy Impala. Something about the west coast ocean side westerly breeze keeps salt air away from inland. Florida is pretty much peninsula.
