Blake's Insider Take: Back in the spring I felt the Gators had a real shot to flip Leatherwood from Alabama. At the Rivals Five-Star Challenge he himself called the Gators his second place team. Then we hit the summer months, where he seemed to solidify his commitment more with Alabama while missing out on several opportunities to visit Gainesville.. He continues to show interest in visiting other schools, and has always spoken very highly of the Gators. I think Florida has an uphill climb ahead of them in order to even be in a position to flip him, but perhaps the Gators pitch of early playing time - and meaning it - will resonate.
