worlds 5th largest economy should fund that themselves...bet if that was the case they would open everything tomorrow...you know the framers never intended the central government to be in the charity business...with Cali holding its hands out and trying to spread its misery to the other 49 states we can see the wisdom in a limited central government...if its truly that important that they stay shut down for 3 months they will find the will and way to do this on their own.

Let the feds help them with testing, vents and meds. If masks and social distancing allow for people to go grocery shopping which is necessary then it should be sufficient for most people to go back to work.

Whether its gub Cujo or some underling, its absolute nonsense and stupid to house corona patients in a place where the most vulnerable live. Someone is too stupid to have a job where such a decision could be made or they are evil.

Protecting the most vulnerable ( from death) from this should be the strategy while allowing for increased social distancing in the general populace. The general public needs to get back to work while employing the new social guidelines. Some places just cant do it but most can.

And the sooner we have the antibody test available for everyone who wants to take it the better. And a suggestion, dont test for antibodies in the same place people are congregating for testing of corona. They are probably sick with something and need to be avoided! TN has 16K (6%) positives after testing 250K. Most of those 250K (94%) were sick with something other than corona. But they were sick none the less! Separate the testing processes!

But hey this isnt on Trump. It will take time period.

What we need to do is stay off the roads and out of the way of the traffic jam heading from west to east, as people fed up with funding health care and everything else for illegals, dodging homeless people on their way back to their free hotels from the liquor store and pot dispensaries and food kitchens are leaving Cali-land in numbers at such a level that the state is losing a seat in Congress, and yesterday elected a Republican back to Congress in a special election.
Run on sentences aside , Californians may be forced to wake up and realize that the rest of the US long ago stopped thinking of them as "The Golden State".

The problem is the liberal and libertarian world view as it concerns social issues. It leads to all manner of the other problems we see caused by them and it. They can not or refuse to see the correlation.

Ethics and morals are important to a functioning society. While I would hold that what goes on behind closed doors is mostly no ones business, I claim that most things that are being done in the name of government or in PUBLIC is the business of the PUBLIC.

I support decriminalizing pot but not legalization. Make having it a ticketing offense. No jail or booking just a fine. Why, because its bad behavior and should be discouraged especially in public. Its just excessive to treat the user as a criminal worthy of jail.

When two men play hide the hotdog in their home none of my business but marriage a public legal act is my business. The acts that occur in such unions is bad behavior and should be discouraged. Police dont need to kick in doors to see who is playing hide the hotdog but society should not endorse the behavior by granting marriage.

Abortion the taking of innocent life. My business no matter where its being done.

When society lowers moral standards is when these other problems arise. Illegals...just look the other way like pot and other minor drugs. Homeless drug addicts! Society has a right and an obligation to discourage bad behavior.

The beauty of the constitution is that it sets a boundary on society in that regulation of behavior usually stops at the door to ones home.

For the most part you cant be in someones personal business unless they bring that out into the public. Seems the reasonable compromise between liberty and licentiousness. The latter is not a proper exercise of the former and that is where libertarians and liberals go astray and screw up society because the equate the public exercise of the latter with the right of the former.
