Kirby’s Vulva…

Then UF could play UGA in JAX every other year like they claimed they would if UGA pulls out. It's a disadvantage for our recruiting. I'm good either way.
Dwags pull a lot of kids out of Jax. Move the game, that influence dwindles.

Perhaps, but I'm going to trust Kirby when it comes to recruiting. He's the best in the business. He's pulling kids all over the country now.
Waiting to see how well he recruits with NIL levelling the playing field. He still has an advantage, because he is pulling kids whose ears he has been in for a while, but that is fading fast.

BTW, TAMU pulling the greatest class ever last year is just proof that Smart has been buying his teams the same way Saban had been. Or are you going to argue that, pre NIL, kids were only motivated by love of the red and black and Kirby's winning smile, but the day NIL came in, they all suddenly had their hands out? Because I would LOVE to hear that argument.

The funny thing is it's usually the team that's not winning, that wants the location in Jacksonville to move. It's ironic that Kirby wants it to move, and yeah it's self serving - he's paid to win so I get it. You'd just think he'd have a little more suave about him than that.
Suave is not an adjective I would associate with Kirby.

And I love to hear rivals say it must be cheating when you lose.

Well, UGA is not going the T8&4/Miami route and we're still going to have a top 2 class this year. Again, he's the best recruiter in the country.
BTW, have you come to realize that Bowers is actually not just a slow WR? 😁

He is a tweener who, unless he grows a couple more inches, will be a bust in the NFL.

So 6’4” 230is too small? Attaboy, dig those heels in.

care to remind us how tall Aaron Hernandez was?
Dawn Nation lists him at 6-3, and, while I know this will be a shocking revelation for you, schools and recruiting services often add an inch or two of height to a shorter guy. So I figured 6-1 to 6-2 last year, and continue to say the same thing.

So ok, if he goes to the combine and is 6-4 or, better, 6-5, then he will have grown those couple of inches I mentioned being needed, and will no longer be a tweener. But we won't know until then because only the combine gives numbers you can count on being accurate. If he is still 6-1 to 6-2, he just won't have the size needed. Big safeties will be able to cover him, and as a blocker he will be ineffective. The NFL is a big boy league, he won't be feasting on Vandy linebackers any more.

Let me clarify bust. He is being held up as some super-duper, position-redefining tight end. If he goes to the NFL and has a career as a backup/occasional starter, that's a bust. He doesn't have to be a Hall of Famer to avoid a bust tag, I'd say making one pro bowl would be (barely) sufficient, but just collecting a paycheck won't cut it.

As for Hernandez...

Care to remind us who the best tight end was on the Patriots? The game changer? And, the QB? But ok, if Bowers manages to get on a team with the greatest QB of all time and one of the top 5 TE's of all time, I expect his numbers will be pretty good. What are the odds of that happening, you think?

It’s been an argument since Richt was coach. Especially the last couple of contract renewals. Frocking Ears McGarrity went to work for the Gator Bowl FFS so no way he was gonna let the game die cause he was planning his next move.

And of course it appears UF has an advantage with logistics and all that. I would think that’s pretty obvious. What Kirby has brought to it is the recruiting angle. Ive been to 6 games and think it should move back to Athens. If UF wants to play it’s games in Jax then great. Atlanta should never be mentioned in this discussion as that’s just a horrible idea. Kirby is a former player and won a natty for Georgia as coach so I’d say he can say whatever the F he wants.

so if UGA cries logistics here, I think its only right we look for a more central location for the SECCG, especially as we add two teams from further West?

We're not crying logistics. Kirby wants another home game against a quality opponent for recruiting.

I get Kirby's point. With NIL having a Bama type run is most likely a thing of the past. He knows the window is short and the best opportunity for sustained recruiting success is home and home. Having said that, he is being a whinny bitch about it and my hope is they don't move it. So many football traditions being torn away.

I saw he made a comment about switching but have not followed closely. How does home & home improve recruiting?

Nick Saban and his 6 rings called.
I didn't say Saban wasn't the GOAT, but look at Bama’s LOS. They're slowly regressing. Also, Saban is having to rely on the transfer portal because they're either mis-evaluating or not developing kids like they used to.

We lose the ability to have a huge recruiting weekend at home for a marquis game every other year by playing in JAX
