Jimmy Carter has entered hospice

last dem politician with integrity. An anti-semite but an otherwise good person. Of the living dem prezs he is the only one I will give a crap about when he passes.

He was pretty much wrong politically about everything.

He is 98 so he has had a good run.

Carter was a awful President but he didn’t hate his country his country and purposely try to destroy it like Owebama and Biden. He had a long life and served his country with honor.

As many have already stated his policies were a disaster. His greatest bad decision was to establish the Dept of Education. That boondoggle continues to haunt us today.
Morally and honesty wise he probably ranks above any president since him.

Check out academic performance before and after the DOE was established, it’s a disaster.

This sums up Carter perfectly. Was the worst president EVER...until obama and now Brandon
Agreed, a great man of integrity and moral fiber would have never done many of the things he did.

If you want to say he wasn't as bad/evil as those that followed, fine. Reading some of the comments ITT I can only imagine how we will talk about Slick Willy in his final days "He was a good guy and did great for the economy at a time when the dems still cared about the working man. Sure, he had a weakness for chasing skirt, but many men do".

Crap people defending crap people…

I thought you were going to make an anti-abortion argument here
Was he pro-death as well? I was really too young to remember anything about Carter.

I do remember how everyone was miserable and no one had work or money. It was some of my first memories of childhood and it was horrible. I've only seen such widespread poverty and economic pain twice in my life: Under Carter's last days, and now.

Mortgage rates were at least 12% and higher.

Gas shortages led to sitting in line at the pump every other day for hours. I had just started driving and remember cussing him frequently.

Fvck him ...

Uninformed voter

Anyone dying is sad.
Really? How much sadness on the left will there be when Trump is dying and dead? New Year's eve and Mardi Gras rolled into one. How much sadness on the left here and there when Margaret Thatcher died? Sorry, but for many people, anyone dying is NOT sad.

You talking about Trump supporters?
STFU Cucky. At least be reverent. Jimmy Peanut is America's second worst (maybe third) worst President in the nation's history. Bo Peep is arm wrestling him for that honor. The Pant's Shitter in Chief is the King in the clubhouse for now. Now sit down, STFU, and let your wife show you who is boss in your little fiefdom. Hint, it's not YOU.

If for some reason, you are referring to me. I started and finished HS during the Carter years. i didn't vote, but I did live it ...
I remember when I graduated from college. I remember thinking WTF? A Hollywood actor President? Then I looked and saw the clown Carter that had led this country into complete bullshit, recession, sky high oil and gas prices, 18% mortgage rates............... That is when I became a lifelong Republican voter. They are in danger of keeping me when they become RINOs. But that's my history.

It is probably time for us who are Christians to say a prayer for Cousin Jimmy. He was a terrible President but was not a terrible man. That isn't something we can say for the current pant's shitter in chief. Jimmy was a rich land owner prior to being President. Hiden didn't have shit until he started holding foreign nations hostage/or grifting their influence for cash. Prove me wrong BScuck.

Not me. Unless it involves late term stuff, this topic does not move the needle for me. #freakonomics ...
Fair - same. Do not care unless late term (read: post 24 weeks). Then the child can live outside the womb, and it takes on a completely different complexion.

Can't speak for the left or right but to quote the Notorious B.I.G

"Never wish death on anyone, because there is no coming back from that".

I don't wish or celebrate anyone's death.

What Carter did right? He appointed an FCC chairman who said no to any new AM radio stations. The AM band is over crowded. One of two Reagan glaring mistskes? He appointed an FCC chairman who opened the AM band for new applicants. In my lab basement in Central Texas my table top radio after sundown, I could listen to KSL AM Salt Lake City, WJR Detroit, WLAC Nashville, WLS Chicago, KOA Denver, KVOO Tulsa and on and on. Reagan's FCC chairman put an end to US AM clear channel radio.

When I was a kid, I had a transistor hand sized radio and sneak it under the covers when I had to be in bed at 8. I'd listen to some station in Chicago, and WWL out New Orleans for jazz music.

WWL was directional day and night so more power was generated to the north, east and west. No need to broadcast out over the gulf. WGN and WLS Chicago were heard all over the country night time.

WLS in Chicago was owned by Sears Roebuck. WLS stood for World's Largest Store. WGN was owned by a Chicago newspapaper. WGN stood for World's Greatest Newspaper.
