“When this next group of guys come in as soon as they graduate, now they have some guys to show them the ropes as they move through the summer," McElwain said while on ESPNU.
“I think the big thing was the work our guys did early. Our coaches did an outstanding job as far as prepping these guys, helping them, for those who wanted to choose to come into college early and get a jumpstart. I was excited about the way they did that and went about their work, as we are right now actually starting about after Christmas on our classes for ’17 and ’18. We’ve got a great jump on it. Obviously, part of that is the momentum that we have here with all the facility upgrades, all of the things that are going on that are important to these guys to help them be successful.”
