I've never been so ho hum about a UF/UT game

This game is one I use to live for.

We all remember the Spurrier/Phat Phil matchup's. Peyton vs Wuerfferl. All the great 90's and early 2000's games.

I even looked forward to the mismatched games of Tebow vs their sorry defenses. Muchamp defenses stopping any offense they tried. Their talented teams vs Zook thinking we could pull the upset.

This game to me is what the UF/FSU game is to modern UF fans. What the old timers liked in UF/UGA WLOCP.

This year I just I just have no excitement for it...yet anyway.

It's two of the lamest coaches battling it out.

It will go one or two ways. One.stsff will exploit a weakness (both have numerous) and grind it into the ground while the other staff makes zero adjustments to stop it.

Or

Both staffs will stick to the regular programmed scripts and take zero advantage of the other teams numerous weaknesses.

Regardless it will be an ugly game. Zero excitement.

Heck I'm more excited to see if we can put 28 points on the board vs the school from the Rocky Mountains coming from 8 timezones away.

Confession: Since 2014 I've not watched the UF/FSU game. That's a game you couldn't pay me to miss back in the day.

Now me and the family plan our last yearly camp out and go waterfowl hunting. Already have it booked this year. It's just not that important when you already know the outcome barring a miracle.

Thankfully I love college football so much I had a great Saturday even though we got rolled. Used to be I'd Ben pissed off till the middle of the following week. Now I'm over it an hour after the game. Life's too short to watch that, especially when you know what's coming. I was done with them in the first half despite the lead. I knew it wouldn't last.

I just wish the coaches didn't appear to be so apathetic. It makes it very hard to invest in this team when Mac seems to be sleepwalking on the sidelines, and Shannon is in the booth looking as if he would rather be fishing.

Our players have no focused energy, but they sure do like to strut, jaw, and talk shit at the begging being of a game before they start getting their asses kicked though.

Confession: I fell asleep on purpose during the game because my soul couldn't handle it anymore, I've NEVER done that.. and I felt kind of bad for doing it because of how die hard I am and always will be for the Gators, but when I thought about it last night, I didn't feel bad anymore.. If I care more than the staff, why should I feel bad? I went to sleep during the game out of depression, I had finally had enough. Most depressed i've ever been about the future and present of what I grew up living for, and it's a death blow to my psyche truly. My only goal now is to pray i find a way on the next staff, and if it was Mullen with our current AD, I know for a fact i would get that opportunity.

I didn't even bother to finish the Dallas fiasco, choosing instead to go for a relaxing drive in the country instead. I did finish it later off the machine, where I could fast forward it and suffer through it in half the time....

Thank gawd that the Gator's are a full Director's Cup school, instead of just being another phootball-factory...

The funny thing is the week before I had a dream we got blown out almost identical to the way it happened and woke up irate, the universe was telling me something then let me off the hook for my misery.

Yep - I honestly am more interested in how the soccer team will do against FSU Friday night and how the volleyball team will do in the 3 games they play Friday & Saturday than I am in the football game against Northern Colorado. And I mean that in all sincerity.
