Yes, FSU is a horrible academic institution and should be ashamed for being ranked #81 out of 300 National Universities. Yes, I know UF is ranked #42. Outside of UF, UGA and aTm, all SEC schools rank below FSU.

They got kicked out of north Florida after the first Seminole war ended in 1819 and then all but MAYBE 200 (I’ve seen numbers closer to 150 and potentially a little higher) were sent to Oklahoma after the second war ended in 1842.
The couple hundred that were left FLED as deep as they could into the Everglades.
Where, apparently, they claimed the first of many moral victories.

What a joke. They got their asses whipped just like heir cousins the Southern Creek did in Alabama at Horse Shoe Bend (in fact, many of the survivors went south to join their Seminole brethren and STILL got whipped.)

Yes, I forgot about Vandy. Academically speaking, FSU should be in the SEC and UF should be in the ACC. Sad, but true.
You want to talk about unconquered? Talk to the Shuar of Peru, who have never been beaten by anyone, including the Spanish, Portuguese, or any Native tribe. They shrank the heads of their enemies. One time the Spanish pissed them off so they kidnapped their governor and killed him by pouring molten gold into his asshole until he died. In 1940, the government of Peru had to go up to where they lived and teach them to make shrunken heads out of goat skin because when the Shuar figured out they could sell shrunken heads to white men for money and weapons, they started an all out war with the Achuar tribe and were shrinking their heads as fast as they could kill them.

Some over reactions should not be used to act as though there are not real issues at stake sometimes. I know, white lives matter.
Technically you are correct, "everyone" is not offended by "everything", BUT we currently live in a society where many are offended by a lot; even when the "lot" isn't even directed at them. Heck, we see people taking up the mantle of defense for someone else who may not even be offended.

If I think the Notre Dame Fighting Irish mascot is offensive I won't get nearly the same sympathy from YOU though because it's not deemed offensive by minorities although the Irish were persecuted and profiled by the British and when they first came to America as well.
Do you know that just about every race of people have been slaves to another at one point? From the Roman Empire to the Ottoman, Alexander the Great, Ming, and British. Oh wait Native American Tribes and African Tribes enslaved each other and sold out their fellow tribesman for weapons, gold and land.

History is filled with people treating other people terribly just for greed or general ignorance. We have come far but still are far from where we need to be.
You can keep up the good fight against cartoon mascots and keep getting offended by every little childish slight you feel threatens your view.
I don't have the time or resources to sue somebody over things like that.
Maybe one day people will grow up and stop fighting over one of the great things about human beings, until then we will continue to argue over things like depictions. Good day to you.

Tell me something here, hate crimes and terrorism exist in this world and it is awful. I have seen children starving and missing limbs , that affects you.
What negative effect does a smiling cartoon depiction have on your way of life? Do people make you dance till you smile?
You realize most violence occurs out of crimes committed by minorities on minorities right? These are crimes often committed for personal gain because they lack the funds to buy food or other resources needed to support their kids. Many African American youth in inner cities, the number is above fifty percent grow up without a father because of incarceration. This causes gang activity to rise, creating more violence to rise.
Money and education are what is needed to fix this social mess. Marching up and down the streets is doing what? Raising awareness? Lower the hiring standards to allow minorities into positions? Why? How about educating yourself with the time and effort you are spending on these marches against mascots or elected officials.
We all are living on such a short amount of time on a piece of dust in a vacuum. We will all be dust someday(not our souls,our bodies) so why spend so much time being miserable?
Unless this does make you happy, then carry on brother.

That was true at one point...iirc they would even protestest outside of Doak. But since 2005 Chief Jerry Haney of the Seminole Tribe of Oklahoma has publicly stated his support. (I'm certain there are members within both the Florida and Oklahoma tribes that don't support the imagery, though, but they are the minority). Furthermore, the Seminole Tribe of Florida is responsible for the design of Chief Osceola's wardrobe.
And if the team was the Oklahoma State Seminoles, this might mean something.
