My grandfather was pro-life and Carter was the last one he voted for. He sat out the next 2 and passed before H lost to Clinton. He had more in common with Reagan socially but he despised republicans and would never vote for one. Fiscally he was a socialist lite FDR guy but an evangelical social conservative.
I was arguing with him about the pro-choicers and that is when I found out he was sitting out the presidential elections rather than vote pub. My GGdad was pub , my father is an independent who votes pub and I am a Reagan conservative who votes pub.
My grandmother voted for H in his loss to Clinton. I doubt that happens if my grandfather was still alive.

I think the disconnect is that of the 70% that think we should do anything to prevent Iran from getting a nuke, there is division on how close they are and whether it justifies immediate action. To be honest, I’m not sure if I believe the whole they are weeks away thing. They have been saying this for a long time. I’m for the bunker busters and no more.
