And you care…why?
“Retarded”????
57 Heaven - is that the one right off Blanding in Orange Park? The Macarana and many other dumb assed line dances aren't even country music originated. I wish I could remember a couple more that are even more mind numbing stupid. My favorite 5 minutes of hate is reserved for the Electric Slide. 😂 😂 😂
It's dumb AF. Normally only the women would actually subject themselves to such efftardery on the dance floor. Cringe worthy. @LordofallSocks , I'd actually go to 57 Heaven because it had fertile plains that were plow worthy. 😂
I think there might be one there. I used to go to the one on Atlantic Blvd about a mile west of the (ghetto) Regency mall.57 Heaven - is that the one right off Blanding in Orange Park?
Then you must have been familiar with Reggies, in the heart of the Cedar Hills area. Back in the 80's and 90's, the middle aged women back then called it the menopause lounge.57 Heaven - is that the one right off Blanding in Orange Park?
Weren't you somewhat like Dirk Diggler back in the 70's? 😜I think there might be one there. I used to go to the one on Atlantic Blvd about a mile west of the (ghetto) Regency mall.
LOL at watching that again. Roller Girl cracks me up. 😂 Oh and no to your question. Death to Disco!
I'm just giving you schitt, Nav. It was probably @nail1988 who walks like this,LOL at watching that again. Roller Girl cracks me up. 😂 Oh and no to your question. Death to Disco!
I didn’t live in Jax in the 80’s and 90’s and even if I did I wouldn’t EVER go anywhere on that side of town. Eeeeww. Then you must have been familiar with Reggies, in the heart of the Cedar Hills area. Back in the 80's and 90's, the middle aged women back then called it the menopause lounge.
Back then the Westside was still predominantly redneck. It just got worse around the mid to late 90's.I didn’t live in Jax in the 80’s and 90’s and even if I did I wouldn’t EVER go anywhere on that side of town. Eeeeww.
I grew up on the Southside and my Mom always said stay on this side of the River!Back then the Westside was still predominantly redneck. It just got worse around the mid to late 90's.
My sister, brother and myself tried talking my parents to seriously move away from the Westside for years but for some reason they feel they're too old to move. They live in Ortega so it's not even a half mile from the Naval Air Station, where they visit frequently.I grew up on the Southside and my Mom always said stay on this side of the River!
When I moved to Jax in 83, my wife and I bought a new tract house in Mandarin. We were literally in the woods and had horse farms around us. Baymeadows Road had NOTHING on the south side of the road, it was all cattle pastureland. That area has gone to hell in a handbasket now, I go around it at all costs now.I grew up on the Southside and my Mom always said stay on this side of the River!
Anything more white 🤷♂️
Line dancing has become a staple of the Black community‘s culture as it naturally provides a sense of comfort, unity and pride at any festivity.
No matter where Black people are, if “Candy” by Cameo comes on, it’s an instant signal that leads everyone in attendance to dance in sync like a flash mob while doing the Electric Slide. There isn’t a wrong time or place to break out in dance or age demographic, so this can often be seen at a family reunion, wedding, graduation and birthday party, bar mitzvah, randomly in public places like a park or festival, and more. It’s an unspoken way Black people bond and socialize.

yup and that's why I live there now. When I moved to Jax in 83, my wife and I bought a new tract house in Mandarin. We were literally in the woods and had horse farms around us. I was speaking to Baymeadows Road specifically. You don't live there. If Cops was still on TV they could put their headquarters there now.yup and that's why I live there now.
Sorry you see it that way but it’s undergone a major rehabilitation in the last five years. When I moved to Jax in 83, my wife and I bought a new tract house in Mandarin. You’re mistaken. And JSO substation is located just off Baymeadows. Property values have exploded.I was speaking to Baymeadows Road specifically. You don't live there. If Cops was still on TV they could put their headquarters there now.
I'm not talking about the old area. Specifically I'm talking about between Philips Highway and Southside Blvd. It's become a blighted area of low rent motels and hookers and blow. right there near I95. The old Baymeadows Road between Philips and San Jose are nice neighborhoods. But the elements are creeping up on them, crime only a half mile away. And Philips is spelled with only one L, I was shocked to learn that, unless the sign painters can't spell. 😂You’re mistaken. And JSO substation is located just off Baymeadows. Not anymore. I've put my party time in, rest assured. I'm flat out tired, not just retired.Wow you old farts must be LOADS of fun at parties.
Come to the bar with me. Make sure your ol lady has bail money for both of us.Not anymore. I've put my party time in, rest assured. I'm flat out tired, not just retired.
You could not be more wrong unless you’re speaking about the old Denny’s next to the I95 on ramp. That area is making a HUGE comeback,I'm not talking about the old area. It's mostly motels and commercial development type business park fodder around there, especially straight across from the old Bombay Bicycle Club. There are some residential decent developments east of Southside Blvd but Baymeadows between Southside and Philips Highway gives me a rash and a case of the hives. It's serious clutter. But to be fair, the intracoastal area I have a house in has become unrecognizable. The traffic sucks all day long.........and the people that shop in the area, half of them don't speak English, and it's not just Hispanics, it's nuts. I don't know where these people came from and why they are there or what they are doing there. I think the Regency area rats are crawling east these days. Like I've said, were it up to me, I'd be out of Duval forever. And lucky me, have a hurricane barreling up the gulf coast this week. I'm bugging out tomorrow and hope it doesn't level this little town. You could not be more wrong unless you’re speaking about the old Denny’s next to the I95 on ramp. Man, I haven't been to a bar in 10 years. My truck doesn't have AI auto drive anymore like it used to. I'm really not sure how I made it alive this far. 😂 I know I keep threatening to get out a time or two, but I'm in town so seldom anymore it's tough to plan anything. My high school 50 year reunion is this weekend. That's going to be interesting, only about 75% of us are still on this side of the grass.Come to the bar with me. Make sure your ol lady has bail money for both of us.
We are close to the same in all mentioned above. USED to be a rock star partier...now it consists of sitting on the dock enjoying the sunset with cocktails..but WAY fewer.Man, I haven't been to a bar in 10 years. I laugh at anyone from the other side of the river talking about anything on the Southside. Bombay Bicycle Club mentions mean you’re old as hell (like me) and probably wore gold chains, NikNik shirts and Hai Karate. Eww. You probably even smoked and drank rednecky drinks too. It's mostly motels and commercial development type business park fodder around there, especially straight across from the old Bombay Bicycle Club.
