Idk why anyone wanted UGA to win. UT will lose to A&M and Bama and now UGA is all but out of the race. This is good for us.

Butch Jones just cried for 5 minutes.
You are right about that.....just hope that horseshoe doesn't fall out anytime soon...But them wuz tears of joy.
4th time this season trailing by 2 TDs or more and still winning
Always better to be lucky than good.
Both those teams are so bad, the entire east is the worst of all time. Both teams just lost in ten seconds
Hope UT enjoys the butt f***ings coming the next two weeks, and UGA.... lol choking dawgs forever
Those teams are so bad we might actually have a chance in the East if we win next week. UT could lose to any team they play...
also UK already has like triple the passing yards in one drive against Bama than they had against us in an entire game
Because UT would likely lose the next two games, it would give us a buffer if we only lost one more game but beat UGA.
Now we HAVE to win out or hope that UT loses to MIZZOU in a fluke.
Yea but UGA has an easy slate to finish out, just us basically. They beat UT and there's a good chance that with only us left they win out. Even if they lose to us with a win over UT, assuming we drop another one, the math would work out to where they'd be second in line for those tiebreakers because they'd only have one East loss while we're likely to have 2.
But other than a quarter+ against us, vols have not looked great against average competition.....any of us could lose to anybody....remember, this is an uga team that should be 0-fer in conference play right now....This just might be Tennessee's year. I hate Georgia and in my 64 years on earth this is the first time I have EVER pulled for them to win a game and they blew it big time. Eason is going to be an All American. I can't see us winning all 3 against LSU, Georgia & Arkansas and that's what we'll have to do unless Georgia loses to both Bama & A&M.
If UGA would have beaten UT and lost to us, in your scenario, explain how they only have one loss.
Two total losses but one EAST loss.
Don't see them loosing to A&M.
Them grapes be sour. Mighty sour.
Last I checked, that doesn't matter much.
How many times has our annual LSU matchup screwed us?
lol it took 2 miracles in a row to beat two awful east teams, they have zero chance. And since the public is so stupid im about to make Washington vs STanford christmas money the next two weeks. Hopefully A&M leaves something enough of them for me to slam Bama in the next game.
lol UT is the best 3 loss team ive ever seen
Well from what I've been reading one of the fallbacks in the tiebreaker is the division record. Since in this hypothetical we'd all have a 6-2 conference record they'd default to division record. UT would have none in the division if they only lose to Bama and A&M and UGA would have only had 1 assuming they beat UT and then lost to us. Could have played a role and we'd have had to sweep the East.
Counting your losses before they are hatched? We are 5-0 the last time I checked. How 'bout you?
As I told Gordon Gecko, UT could easily have lost the 3 straight after last week's game. Could run the table or any number in between. Got a very wounded team with a lot of inexperienced players forced into playing. Only 12 seniors on the team
Ah see in your scenario UT is 6-2.
But had they not won today, incredible chance they'd be 5-3, taking them out.
oh believe me, losing to UT is embarrassing to us.. but that's how bad Florida is and everyone else in the East. At least we are smart enough to know even if we were undefeated we are bad, your fans aren't, including you.
but that's only because we have seen our teams be elite before, or even good in UT's case.
Looking at the schedules of Tennessee and Georgia and the tiebreaking rules I don't see us coming out on top in any 3 way 2 SEC loss scenario. Tennessee would have the edge over us in all of them it appears. If we were lucky and our 2nd loss was @ Arkansas and Tennessee lost to Georgia as one of their 2 losses they would still have the tiebreaker over us because they catch Bama and A&M this year which would have a better combined conference record than our western opponents of a down LSU team and Arkansas.
Since we wont be winning any tiebreaker scenarios against Tenn at 2 SEC losses I just don't see us winning the East right now.
I guess there is the prayer scenario we run the table in our remaining SEC games and Tenn loses 2 SEC games which is a likely possibility but with 4 remaining SEC games which are probably really dangerous looking at us now I don't see that happening even though I won't rule it out totally until we get a 2nd SEC loss.
But other than a quarter+ against us, vols have not looked great against average competition.....any of us could lose to anybody....remember, this is an uga team that should be 0-fer in conference play right now....
Do we honestly look like a team that should be in Atlanta.... Let's be honest right now
UT played great in spurts last year, that was part of their problemLast year UT played great for 3 1/2 quarters against Oklahoma, Florida and Alabama.
Lost all 3 in the final 2 minutes or less..
I'll take playing lousy for 3 quarters and winning any day
