Watching FSU yesterday made me think "thank goodness DJU is not the Gator QB". I thought he really sucked but basically he looked like the same guy he has been his entire career. So I checked his stats. According to his QBR in 2023 (80.8) he was the 12th best QB in CFB, better than Travis Jordan (13th), Drake May (14th), Quinn Ewers (15th), Jaxson Dart (20th) and Graham Mertz (36). Can someone explain to me in what universe is DJU better than any of those other guys? (BTW his QBR yesterday was 78.8 so his play was consistent with his career.)
If QBR is meaningful, then the good news is Cam Ward was 50th last year and 60th the year prior.
