There is something special in the water around Lakeland (Fla.) which in turn is helping Lake Gibson High School on the gridiron. The 2022 class was loaded with guys like JyVonte McClendon, Jaylon Glover, Sam McCall and the 2023 group is keeping it going with five-star athlete/defensive back Cormani McClain and three-star offensive lineman Gernorris Wilson. At the Rivals Camp Series in Miami over the weekend, Wilson showcased his talents that has brought 15 offers to the table.
Wilson has already visited Florida and is ready to return. Wilson spoke about his previous visit with the Gators’ coaching staff.
“They showed a lot of love when I went there,” Wilson said. “I am going back to Florida on March 18 with Cormani McClain and a few more of my teammates.”
