KJ, do you really believe that all the courts from across the country, and judges appointed by different presidents, were all in on a conspiracy?? Does that make sense to you??

I had no problem with challenging the results, although I think its petty. Its the encouragement to March on the Capitol and make Pence and others pay for doing their job that I have a problem with.

Pence was in a constitutional pickle. Either way he was going to cause issues.

He had every constitutional authority to not object to any slates, but send the 7 contested slates back and demand they agree on one slate. There’s precedent for this and Trump was well within his boundaries to ask for it. It’s important because those slates were enough to change the outcome.

And Trump specifically asked for a “peaceful and patriotic” assembly to show Pence support.

I’m sorry, but that pales in comparison to what we’ve heard Pelosi, Waters and AOC have inflamed with their rhetoric.

It’s not an excuse. The judicial branch clearly didn’t want to get involved in something the states are constitutionally mandated to manage.

SCOTUS got reamed for 2000 and I don’t think they wanted any part of it.

That’s why none of the big cases were heard on the merits. Only one I can recall was NV and that was an Obama judge.

I agrre. AOC caused someone to die at the border by saying there was concentration camps..... The repub congressman was shot in the hip because of rhetoric used by dems. Maxine waters said "when you see a conservative you get in their face and push back on them" literally putting the congress in danger. If you impeach trump, you impeach them as well.

Agree on Pence. That's why I didn't slam him, and again, @Uniformed_ReRe couldn't believe it.

Could he have tossed the electors and counted the ones he wanted? Legal scholars believe he could have. But it would have created a huge mess, and most importantly, it would have looked to many like WE stole the election, not the dems.

Trump still has some cards he could play. Wouldn't be surprised if he did. He may have to, to save the country.
