Hugh Freeze just resigned

Not that unusual for UF, Bama, FSU, etc., but definitely unusual for Ole Miss. The reaction would have been the same had it been WF, North Western, or UCF.
Overall agree with a minor caveat; Ole Miss was at least relevant in the SEC at one period before the most recent. They were pretty good in the Archie Manning years.
 
Hugh Freeze quit being a protected entity at Ole Miss as soon as he started losing and the NCAA started catching up. I think they helped him cover up the drugs, money, hoes while all was good but when it went bad they helped the truth come out. Also, as long as he could have walked the walk, the religious bit probably would have helped endear him to the fans. But when bad actions came to light, it actually worked more against him then if he had never spoken about it.
