Sophomore defensive back Huggins has been dismissed from the Florida program, a UF spokesman confirmed.

On one hand, I like us not tolerating crap like other teams.

On the other hand, that puts us at a competitive disadvantage against those same other teams.

Wow....good thing for you gators Fromm doesn't have any receivers to throw to. Maybe no one else on your schedule is capable of going 4 wide.....the Dawgs certainly can't. Moreover, Fla should be fine. Mullen still has two weeks to convert a walk-on or two into 5-Stars.

Didn't this happen last October? Sucks for the Kid......if Dan hadn't enacted such swift justice Higgins might have found his way onto another team by now.
Even though we fans attribute all of these discipline decisions to the head coach, other people are involved too.

Hate it. You just don't see these kinds of disciplinary issues with athletes from the other sports. Every once in a while an isolated incident comes up; but with football players, it's come to be an expected, regular occurrence. While football makes about 50% of the money that drives the athletic department, they also cause about 90% of the embarrassment to the university.

Last October? If so this must mean Mullen swept it under the rug and covered it up.

Oh look another dawg fan talking out of his ass. He wasn’t kicked off the team because of the incident last year. He already served a 5 game suspension for it. Dumb and dumber seems to describe every one of you trash cans that waddle your way over here.

It’s nothing like claiming racism is why Fields ran from Georgia. Right? Or that Georgia covered up for Holloman. Right?

He was suspended for the last 5 games last season due to the incident. Program learned about it and took action. Not sure if it was strong enough action, but took action. Didn't wait a year like some programs.

Huggins isn't a big loss. He had two tackles/int against Charleston Southern and one against Idaho. I feel a fan from out of your stands could've done as good.

Huggins was a good player and a loss to the depth chart,,, but he was not a starter. o_O

SS Jeawon Taylor 6-1 202 Sr
SS Quincey Lenton 5-11 207 rsJr
SS Brad Stewart 6-1 200 Jr
FS Dnovan Stiner 6-1 203 Jr
FS Shawn Davis 5-11 202 Jr

Star/CB Trey Dean III 6-3 194 So (CG-J's replacement)

~ Star/FS John Huggins 6-1 206 So - Dismissed from team.
Star/FS/WR Trent Whittenmore 6-3 187 Fr ****

CB C.J. McWilliams 5-11 184 rsJr - (Achilles out)
CB C.J. Henderson 6-1 202 Jr
CB Marco Wilson 6-0 190 rsSo

CB Kaiir Elam 6-1 187 Fr **** (CB/STAR)
CB Jaydon Hill 6-0 167 Fr **** EE
CB Chester Kimbrough 5-11 172 Fr ***
Several of them have trained and can play any of the DB positions.

Grantham has already said that IF NEEDED, SS/STAR/OLB Burney could be moved back to STAR (he was 2018 backup to CG-J) with Miller & Houston filling the OLB spot next to ILB Reese.

Mullen will act when forced to but he isnt going to kick someone off the team himself when he doesn't have the evidence staring him right in the face and charges haven't been brought. I kind of like that actually unless there is clear and convincing evidence something actually happened for sure.

My guess is the administration finally told him Huggins had to go once the media started running the stories on the stuff.

If he got suspended five games for choking a lady on two seperate occasions he must have committed murder to actually get kicked off the team. Was it a family member?

Truth hurts huh?

Yep, I guess you'd know.
UF 7-5 SEC-C winners since expansion, UGly 2-3 losers.

UF 3 NC's vs #1 ranked teams since 1996.
UGly's ONLY NC was against a 9-2-1 neutered lame 39 years ago.
NL's tie was vs 1-9-1 GaTech...

UGly hasn't won a decade over UF since way back in the 1980's.

Being legghumping, buttsniffing nuttlicking losers is your legacy.
Truth Hurts??? --- You tell us... :D:p:D

I'm not a psychic so I can't say what the next decade will look like, however I like UGA's chances with the talent they're stockpiling.

Lol, We had a 5 star bail to Tennessee, Ohio State, and Florida. That doesn't make them smart, it makes them run scared of the competition ahead of them at jawja....

You think it is smart for a kid to be a malcontent and get kicked off the team and come to Florida? Yoy have a pretty low standard for the term "smart"

They've both had at least one 5 star transfers out and many high 4 stars. Both with 8 transfers out each since 2018 season . Open thine eyes and you can see, but you must first take off your orange and blue blinders.

Lol wait, but when Mullen loses a player...Mullen and only Mullen are at fault. Funny how that works huh?

85 or so football players. And the article linked below says there are 651 student-athletes at UF - 354 men and 297 women. And that makes my point even more valid. Roughly 13% of UF's athletes are football players and yet at least 95% of any negative publicity, arrests, suspensions, etc. come from the football program. And it's the same throughout the NCAA.
