With no sports, I can only ask how far the Gators would have gone. I think we would have been an 8 or nine seed.

My guess is we would have won our opening game, then lose to one of the top seeds.

I think FSU would have advanced to the Sweet Sixteen.

My pick to cut down the nets would have been Kansas, although it would have been fun to see what Dayton, Baylor, or Gonzaga could have done.

Hard to say but would think FSU goes further. Our play was so up and down I couldn't see us winning more than 2 games if any...we seemed to be able to beat anyone but lose to anyone too.

I think FSU was at the 3 seed line, probably a two if they won the ACC tourney. I think they would have stifled their first two opponents, but I doubt they would have been able to match the pace with a equally talented opponent that could play at a quicker pace.

Well it would have all depended on the draw. We probably out in the 2nd round. ACC was really not as strong this year as in others, nolies would've most likely been bounced in sweet 16.

For you guys i would have said 1st or 2nd round with 2nd round being more likely. Think fsu would have been elite all the way to the champs. We really did have a great team. Sucks we will nvr kno

Nobody has a clue, but it's pretty obvious that our Gators weren't going to win it and with the inconsistent play I doubt they would have gone far. And based on past history, FSU wasn't going to win it either and would probably have gotten upset by a lower seed.

Meh... 15 pt blowout victories all the way... There is no history to compare it to.. This is the best team we have ever had

Win opening round by 10+ points.....some people would then act like we beat Kansas....

Lose in the next round after giving up a huge lead.

That 1972 FSU team that only lost to powerhouse UCLA by 5 points in the national title game was the best one they've had so far. Starters Ron King, Lawrence McCray, Reggie Royals, Rowland Garrett, Ron Harris and a solid bench - no weakness on that team.

I mean in recent basketball, comparing different eras is bad imo. This team we had was very good, undefeated at home and we would have had a great shot at making a very good run.

We would have lost in the 1st or 2nd round. FSU would have gotten upset because well Leonard Hamilton would have pulled a Leonard Hamilton.

First round loss.

Tell me when this team did anything of note away from home.

A CMW team has never won a big game away from home.... o_O

One projected bracket that I saw had UF winning the 1st game, then having to play #1 Kansas. That would have likely been a loss, but we'll never know for sure now... :(

It's weird to think we would be onto the Sweet Sixteen by now. I found myself watching marble racing at some point yesterday:eek: Thinking about learning Latin, or taking up oregami at this point.

I don't think the Kansas game would have been great for us. We will never know, but at least we have a couple real banners. FSU has..... Well the state mocked them a title.
