LSU's defense has the problem that all defenses of quick strike teams have. They go out there too many times, too quickly. They are better than the stats.

Although Ole Piss wasn't nearly as awful as The Cocks, our loss to them at home was just as bad. I actually side with you on this. If your pedestrian offense can be it's normal pedestrian self, you just might be able to run the ball, eat clock, and limit possessions. That will keep the game close. But you better score touchdowns, because when LSU does get the ball they will score touchdowns. If you are kicking FG's it won't matter, they will leave you in the dust. The minute Fromm HAS to pass, you are done.

Bama's defense definitely has been off the last 2 seasons. Coincided with losing Pruitt, who was a REAL DC.

While Kirby's 'coaching' has been on par for him. As long as he has a huge talent advantage, he will have a chance. But he promised a lot of titles to those 5-stars in 2017, 2018 and 2019...that haven't materialized.

We'll see if the 5-stars in 2020 are as easily fooled.
