Houston, we have a problem

Tom Herman is the next Urban Meyer

Fun watching Dalvin struggle though
I don't know I would take it that far. This is still just Herman's 1st season as a head coach. Meyer is one of the GOAT. Cook struggled mightily against us for 3 quarters.

I expect Cook to rip off a long run here soon.

Only down by 11 with a quarter to go. Houston needs to do something on offense.

Did you think

Houston is a good team. Probably better overall than Florida.

Now losing to GaTech? THAT was a bad loss
Did you think UFs loss to Lville in the Sugar Bowl was a bad loss? That Lville team is better than this Houston team. Many people feel like that was a bad loss for UF. No matter how you slice it this Houston team is still a AAC team with AAC athletes.

I agree with you that the GT loss was a bad bad loss. That is certainly a bad one.

Just look at composite rankings. Across over 100 rankings, on average Houston is ranked several places higher than Florida.

And the UL win over Florida in 2012 has nothing to do with this game.

Don't forget FSU was a 7.5 point favorite. A possible 3 loss season with 2 of those losses against teams where you were heavy favorites and more talented.

You don't think the UF/Lville and FSU/Houston are similar type games/matchups? 2 highly ranked teams from Power 5 conferences playing against non-Power 5 programs.

Does it matter?

Houston is a one loss team, ranked in the top fifteen. They are legit.

When did I say Houston wasnt a good team? But when UF lost to Lville (who was a very good team w/T Bridgewater) everybody said it was a bad loss for UF.

You said it is a bad loss by FSU (assuming they lose.) By definition that means you think Houston is a bad team?

Or maybe I am missing something.

Regardless of the outcome of this game Herman is going to be in high demand. I'm guessing Texas and Texas A&M are going to battle it out for him next year.

lol

Fisher pulled a Fisher. Pooch kicked it and now Houston is almost in scoring position.

Losing to Lville in 2012 was a bad loss IMO. We had more talent and we were favorites. I think Lville was a good team that year but they shouldn't have beaten us. That is just my take. I'm not taking anything away from Lville or Houston if they pull this game out but UF and FSU had more talent than both those teams and both were pretty big favorites (more than a TD).

Buddy, if you need to feel better about our loss to UL in 2012 by this (potential) loss by FSU, by all means, have at it.

FSU has one bad loss this year.

That is enough for me to make fun of them.

No it doesn't make me feel any better about our loss to Lville. That was a bad loss for UF and this is likely a bad loss for FSU. You can't spin any one of those two games into a positive.

Then why do you keep bringing it up?

and this is likely a bad loss for FSU. You can't spin any one of those two games into a positive.

Those are two separate statements. No loss is a positive. By definition. But not all losses are bad losses either. Two separate things

If you need to feel better by saying FSU has two bad losses, then have at it. I think needing to do that is kind of Nolish, but that is OK. Whateve floats your boat

FSU has three losses this year. Which is about average for a Jimbo coached team that does not include Winston. That is enough for me to mock him. Especially given that one of those losses was truly a Jimbo Fisher signature bad loss.

This game was one pretty good team playing better than one slightly better team and handling them rather easily.

Well they just lost to an AAC team by 14 points. That is pretty bad IMO. Even if this Houston team is good. Schools with talent like UF and FSU shouldn't be losing to AAC type teams this badly.

Yes Fisher is what he is. He losses a good amount of games where he is a heavy favorite. FSU lost 2 games this year as heavy favorites.

Parity, thy name is college football with scholarship limits

Fair enough

Didn't care about this game when it was announced. Watched it. Still don't. I've seen enough of Maguire.

Not a horrible loss in the grand scheme of things....bowls are so hard to predict because you never know which teams really want to win, and which teams just want to party. What this game does seem to prove is the reality of jimbo that the noles will not acknowledge....brace yourselves for the RRT and their excuse making, straw men, and deflection.

PS: dear RRT, we already KNOW that we lost to you.

This sounds a lot like; "Doesn't matter, Got laid."

We have Gators trying to claim this was a bad loss by FSU and we have FSU fans claiming, "No big deal, don't care."

Football fans are funny beasts.

Oh I agree with that. I've been screaming parity for the last 3-5 years for anybody that will listen.

With that being said I don't believe FSU ever had the lead the entire game and ended up losing by 14 points against a team they were heavy favorites against. Just not a good way to end the season and a bad loss. Just my opinion anyways.

Fisher finds a way to lose a good amount of games that he is heavy favorites in. I can't explain it other than it looks like he needs a lot more talent than His opponent to be really successful. Fisher is a very good recruiter but again I've never thought much of his game day abilities.
