I got a text that Darris Nichols is at Hargrave Military Academy checking out Trey McGowens. McGowens recently told me that he was reclassifying from 2018 to 2019. He was ranked No. 137 in the 2018 class. We have not re-ranked him in 2019 yet. Plus he is making the transition to point guard so he'll have to be evaluated as such during the season.
A couple of days ago the Gators offered Che Evans, a class of 2020 stud out of Baltimore who is in the same AAU program...Team Melo...as Florida commit Noah Locke.
Evans is definitely the best player in Baltimore in the 2020 class and might be the best player in Baltimore regardless of class. We should have him ranked in the Top 35 in his class, imho, but we left him out of the Top 50 which, imho, was a mistake on our part. Evans is a smooth offensive, isolation scorer.
Evans has already unofficially visited: Penn State, Villanova (twice, once recently), St. John's and nearby schools Maryland and Georgetown. He's also getting love from Georgia Tech, UNLV and TCU.
