Perhaps….I consider that I’m halfway to Key West when I pull off Islamorada to hit Lower Matacumbe key where I generally stop and hit Robbie’s.

Actually Marathon is considered the midpoint. Islamorada and Largo are both considered Upper Keys. It's been 20 years since I've been there. Got way too commercialized and crowded for my tastes.
OT - that golf hole in Happy Gilmore is #14 at Furry Creek, outside of Vancouver BC. One of the very few real golf holes there, the rest are bizarre, stupid and quirky ...

But for the record, the upper keys starts at Jewfish Creek bridge and stops at the Long Key bridge, the middle keys is between the Long Key bridge and the 7 Mile bridge and the lower keys is everything West (some people say South) of the 7 Mile bridge.
BTW, if you haven’t done so yet I’d recommend hitting Craig’s in Tavernier (now known as Capt. Craigs I suppose) just a wee bit East of Coral Shores High School.
It‘s probably been 25 years since I was there but they serve up the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had - and I’ve eaten fish sammies at damn near every place they are served down there.
