Well, Arkansas was the beneficiary of a Dan Mullen coached QB while UGa was the beneficiary of a Jones Community College coached QB.
He’s coached by Kendall Briles. Looks night and day vs his time at UF
His QB rating is about the same as it was at UF. In fact his QB rating at UF last year before he got hurt was 173. It’s just at UF there is more pressure to perform and higher expectations at UF as opposed to Arky. More pressure on a QB at UF as well. Also Arky didn’t win a single SEC game last year so not much pressure on that program this year.
Right now I’m not sure there is a better developer of QBs than Dan Mullen.
Not really. The slant is still his favorite throw. Still locks on to his first receiver without looking off the safely. If the first read isn't there he bails, typically to his left causing him to have to throw across his body. However, he looks to run instead of keeping his eyes down field. Same scouting report as before. He just happened to hit a couple of long ones yesterday, the odds eventually were in his favor, but overall the percentage of times he hits those throws is about the same.
Franks look at his first read. If that is open then he can make that throw. Where he struggles is scanning the field and going through progressions and hitting the 2nd and 3rd option. Everytime he did that against UF he mostly got sacked or he bailed from the pocket.

Very relevant . Last ai heard he was going to the Senior Bowl, or whatever. He had better odds than many, that’s why I don’t bet. Trask is having a phenomenal year. Good for him.
Something I noticed the past two weeks in Jax is the Georgia fans not flaunting their shirts, hats, magnets and flags on their vehicles. The past 3 seasons was a different story when they'd wear it all year long.

Arkansas found some success running the ball. Arkansas and Felipe found success on the screen/short passing game where their was a designated or specific receiver. Any moment he had to go through transgressions he was usually sacked. Even sucked on their RPO type plays.
I watched the Arkansas/UT game the week before and felt like I was watching 2 JV High School QBs that evening I feel asleep during the game.
I appreciate Felipe. I was always a blind fan and defended him while he was at UF. He is not some new improved QB.

If the, Meh, is for the job Mcgarity has done at Georgia, then Georgia can do worse like they did when they made Vince Dooley the AD. He sure as hell didn't make any of the other sports programs any better, except for chick basketball and gymnastics. Didn't Georgia also have an AD or two between Dooley and Mcgarity?
Briles was a disaster at FSU so I doubt it. Franks in one year under Mullen went from a near 50-50 TD/INT ratio to a 24/6 ratio and the team went from 4-7 to 10-3. He definitely got better, don’t fool yourself.
