Has any ole miss fan ever, and I mean EVER come over here to talk smack about a matchup between them and Us?
Even now, with the game about 48 hours away, They are favored, still no smack....

Is this a calm fan base, or is this a fan base just waiting till the bottom falls out?

We play Ole Miss so infrequently that when game time approaches we've got no smack to talk about. Both sides hope they win and that's pretty much it.

I keed, I keed. I think we know it's a tough game...and then having won 3 out of 4 there...and being highly ranked...I have no doubt McElwain will have them fired up. So, it's a little worrisome. I wonder if the flu is really going to play a part in the game or if it's gamesmanship...

Sadly, if the runout of 21 being affected by the flu is true, it could be just a very ugly game, regardless of anything else.

As to the topic of the thread...I e been here 10-11 years and can't honestly remember much of, if any, presence from Rebel fans at all PRIOR to the game.

Though that holds true for just about any fan base outside of the panhandlers.

They are too busy buying t shirts memorializing their five turnover differential upset over Alabama.

In all seriousness, they have elevated a bit...able to compete more often with top tier teams. Last year they beat Alabama, Moo and TX AM, lost close to LSU and Auburn, and were goat stomped by TCU and Arkansas.

For them, that is pretty significant progress.

Gators are in the middle of getting back to top tier, so for a rare matchup, Mississippi may have a small edge. But they are simply not at a stage where they can show up and beat any good team. So they are being quieter.
