Hansard Flips to PSU

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz --- Gatorbait

Can't blame him for not wanting to play against the SEC competition, but I can laugh at him for bailing out to pedi-U... :D

Lordy, will we have any lineman on either side of the ball in this class? And hats off to Franklin, that guy is proving to be a great coach.

Well this sucks. We signed no true DTs last year and it's a big position of need this year. Now we only have one DT commit and most of the top guys are committed.

Did we sign a true DT the year before?

Franklin (A guy I wanted us to go after, btw) has PSU interesting again.

How about those two clowns jumping up and down with "$ down" signs every third down? Seems like that would be a hit with the kids.
They need to eliminate that. Can't go 0-12 on 3rd down and allow the opponent to go 11-17. Makes those signs look really obnoxious.

Recruiting is all about optics and selling hope. It's the same reason Butch Jones could sign top 5 classes early at UT and now they can't get a top commit to save their life, the jig is up. Our problem is that we don't have any hope to sell, not on offense anyway. It hasn't improved in year 2, nobody knows who the QB will be next year or if they're any good, etc. And if you're a defensive player objectively why would you want to go to a program where you have no support from the offense and have to carry the team game after game?

And it sure as hell doesn't help that every time we play a good team we get waxed by double digits, especially when it's the teams we have to recruit against. It kills perception and that is why I couldn't have cared any less about us going to the SEC Championship. How is losing by 30 in a prime time game good for the program? Bama and every other school we recruit against will be able to point to the game and say "see that's how far they are from being elite, why would you want to go there?" Crazy to me how people can't see the big picture.

At this point to make this class where we need it to have any chance of a rebound we are foing to need to flip 4 or 5 kids, there isn't a ton of talent uncomitted. But we just lost Hansard and word is Blades is likely to flip to USCw after they finished so strong. We are heading in the wrong direction. And Hansard is a kid we could have used early PT to sell. But PSU is rolling, and has excitement around the program

Well, if we will see if Mac really wants to compete for important titles....if he would fire Nuss, and get somebody in here that will excite the recruits, then he has a slim chance to salvage this class.

Without a doubt! With only 6 of 7 SECe teams bowl eligible, and only 5 of the 7 SECw teams bowl eligible, the SEC will only have 11 Bowl Eligible teams this season, which is crap compared to all of the other really great power 5 conferences.

That, and there's no chance what-so-ever of an SEC team winnning another NC.

Put yourself in these recruits shoes, would you want to attend UF? If so, why ? Academics?
Well maybe if youre a DB i guess, they got that going for them at least

With 3 Heisman winners in the past, and 49 former Gator players currently on NFL rosters, I can't imagine why any player would ever want to come here....

NBA HoF Rick Barry's son Canyon (a Grad-xfer) came here this year to play B-Ball for Mike White, but he's only after a basket weaving degree....

17 year old athletes don't necessarily care about those things.

Not a problem, cause they nor I care a twitch about you...

I hope not.

But you apparently don't understand teenagers.

You realize that the kids we are recruiting were 9-10 years old when we looked decent on offense the last time.

But please, argue with me about nonsense.

I'd be pleased if you'd never address me again, but a slurper like you will always be around attempting to get the attention of those who despise you. o_O

There, well done insty.

There for those who they do matter to. I watch what happens on the field.

While the stinking dunny-goater never makes a cogent point about anything that matters, he just continues to stalk the posts of his betters, while stinking up the place some more.

You always have two points though, the one on the top of your head, and the one that's stuck up your butt.

When teams with .500 and below winning percentages receive Bowl invites, that is nothing to brag about.

Neither I nor the vast majority of non-Bama fans really do not give a shit if Bama wins another title. Their winning is a measure of their strength, not the strength of the conference. Besides Bama, we are the only other SEC with less than FOUR losses.....and that most likely will change this coming Saturday. We won the East, but as this past Saturday night showed we'd be lucky to finish fourth in the ACC Atlantic.

Both your straw men and your own biased opinions will be given all of the considerations that they are due. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

InstyTater, I read here all the time, but rarely post as I am a Nole so I tread lightly. But I truly must say that your incessant rambling diatribes filled with stats/idiotic name calling and emoticons is really disturbing. And I don't mean as a Nole, but as a normal minded adult. My take away is either you are a strange 14 year old addicted to computing or even worse you are a very bizarre adult who has way too much time on their hands trying to make everyone else in the Universe see things your way. Whatever the case, good luck. I'm sure there are meds for your condition and God speed that you find them and soon.

For the record, you're afraid of differing viewpoints.

For the record, different opinions are everywhere you moe-ron.

And you're afraid of being left alone in the basement again, so you go out in public, get chit-faced, and then annoy everyone around you incessantly.
I'm just surprised that you've survived for this long...

And yet you felt compelled to just throw that out there for who's benefit?

hahahahahahahahahahahaha from an idiot criminole no less....

Thanks, I needed that to settle my steak dinner.

That really didn't address anything I said but thanks for the star breakdown of our roster, I guess.

So just a bunch of random names would have shown you and others that the Gator defensive roster is not as bare as some here claim that it is?
I seeeee, I guess.

Stars are totally useless, while recruit class rankings are everything and mean so much to those that are constantly harping on Mc-staff.
