Something has smelled rotten ever since the GNC story and ban came out.
This comes as no surprise to me as I've said for a while now.
I would have been a bit surprised had he chosen to stay.
IMOHO, the NCAA killed his UF career when they refused to reduce the 365 day suspension.

Doubt he goes fbs and basically kill two years of his career unless he's just not smart. Probably juco then transfer to another school at the end of that season.
I guess it would depend on where he is with is classes. I'm thinking it would be hard to find classes to take and still satisfy the NCAA's requirement on academic progress. But who knows
Yes. It feels like we will never have stability at the qb position again. Great season, but man if it doesn't feel like we are back to square one again. Really wish he would have stuck it out...he had the goods.
Because he won't have an AD and a Coach who both feel as he lied to them. And also pushed him out the door.
I thought the kid was returning? So confused.
Thought so as well. Unless it was known,but for some reason the coach felt he did not want to be forthcoming at the time.
Coach stuck by him publically the whole time and said that he would return after Jan 5th.
I think that Grier looked at his 2016 half year suspension.
Then he looked at the incoming Fr QB's:
Kyle Trask 6-6 218 Fr (Nuss said he's better than any 5 star he's seen in this class)
Feleipe Franks 6-6 220 (flipped from LSU)
And Will decided that it was probably time for him to get a fresh start elsewhere.
If that's true, then I don't disagree with his assessment of the situation.
I wanted Grier to be Driskel's backup in 2014. (Chump redshirted him)
I wanted Grier to be the starter in 2015. (and he did going 6-0)
I'm real sorry that do-do occurred when Will 'screwed-da-pooch' by taking whatever.
But he is just another of the many things that it's time to move on about.
Treon, in his own best interests, might consider doing likewise. Imoho, he's much like a Tyler Murphy, and with very similar QB skill levels.

Second there are people on this board that know A LOT about this situation. One of them happened to like my post. That should tell you something newby.
