This is so damaging to the FBI. Not just the POS's involved, but to the institution itself. It will be extremely difficult to recover.

Who knew getting involved with the political process would cause so much damage? Everyone with a 3 digit IQ. These are tactics that you would expect in a banana republic or an ex-Soviet bloc country but can anyone believe it has actually happened here? I am stupefied.

The only way that the FBI can begin to regain its credibility is to fall on its sword, own its egregious missteps and admit what it has done and admit why it was done. Even then it will take time to recover but if it never comes clean, every accusation it makes from this point forward will be viewed through this stained image.

There are police jurisdictions that have faced similar challenges. They sullied their reputations and as a result DA's and grand jury's doubted their words and actions unless they were supported by unrelated outside facts and sources. That is unsustainable for the FBI.

Bongino seems to be implying that the FBI changed the 302s from the Flynn interview to reflect that Flynn was guilty of crimes that the actual 302s that Pietnka took did NOT show.

I'm not sure what the crime would be for changing 302s to entrap the interviewee, but I would suspect it's a felony. So whoever the person or people are that changed that 302 and IF they did so with malicious intent, they are likely looking at hard jail time. And if you watched Bongino's video, you have a good idea who those people are.

We're talking senior FBI agents, so who were their bosses? Deputy Director and FBI Director. Were these rogue agents or acting on orders and alongside their bosses?
