We need to recruit Miami hard for the next class because Golden is a lame duck and he's clueless by avoiding his own backyard. He must still think he's recruiting for Temple or something.

This really isn't a good thing. Historically, we haven't had much of a presence down there, especially in Dade. So when Miami is down, those guys go to FSU. Look at FSU's classes the past few years. A strong Miami keeps FSU in check. We usually feast in the Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville area. I want Miami to get back to being good.

I agree with this, but we can't change this. As long as Miami IS down, we should use the opportunity to make some in roads down there.

I agree with this, but we can't change this. As long as Miami IS down, we should use the opportunity to make some in roads down there.

No doubt, we need to take advantage. But there's so many good players there man, #1 city for NFL players IIRC. So I'd kinda like Miami to be decent and then we get our share. That way we squeeze FSU on talent. I'd prefer it that way since we don't play Miami regularly.

With Harris being given the QB job and McElwain here now I think we can compete with FSU down there next class.

We signed 5-6 kids from down there this year and that was with a new coaching staff. We also have Randy Shannon on staff as well which will help. Miami in particular wanted Scarlett, Calloway and Johnson bad and we got all 3.

We definitely should try to get a stronger foothold down here. There's a ton of Alumni down here and with Florida having strong academics, being a party school, and being relatively low cost, lots of kids from down here are going there for school. Plus with us being in the SEC,and its reputation for being the best conference, a lot of kids are probably looking at us.

It helped to have south Florida kids like Treon getting PT and liking Florida to some of these 2015 recruits like Scarlett and Callaway. We can take that momentum and grab more highly regarded South Florida kids

I doubt it as long as Grier was playing better than him and it was clear the job should be his. I think coaches were actually telling kids FL wont give you a proper shot at QB and mess like that down there a while back which turned off other recruits also. The Driskel / Brissett situation surely didn't help with that because a blind person could see he wasn't given a fair shot despite Driskel's horrid play. Hopefully that is all in the past if it was an issue. Having Shannon helps a lot also.
