Grandfather's death pushes Demarkcus Bowman to Enter Transfer Portal; Clemson Pulls his Financial Aid

Bowman said in an interview with The Clemson Insider that the decision to enter the portal was more about being homesick than anything else.

"The closest family I had up here was my grandfather," Bowman told TCI. "He was the only reason I came to Clemson. I came so my grandfather could come and watch me play, but he passed away as the season started. "

UF came into the game leading the SEC in sacks, but it's tough to get a sack or stop the run game when the officials don't call the holding (mugging) that was going on all game.

Great player and would have loved for him to go to UF but I’ll never trip about a RB. Most important pieces to any offense is the playcaller, the oline, and then the QB in that order. Doesn’t matter how great a running back is if you don’t have an oline to open up holes and a QB who’s a threat to back the defense up with his arm. Fix that and anybody can run successfully. We were top 3 in rushing in the SEC last year and Scarlett was the only guy who was a high 4-star recruit.
