Good

- EWIII on offense looks dynamic.
- Douglas looks like our next possession type receiver. Hands looked stronger than last year.
- Castell is the best safety we have as a true freshman
- Shemar James came to play and is best all around LB by a good margin.
- Searcy got in the backfield regularly and played hungry.
- Banks played well I thought. Jackson was okay, thought he would flash more.
- Kelby Collins flashed some when he was in there
- Moore is our best CB and made most of limited opportunities
- Mertz more accurate than AR on short to intermediate throws. Thought he was largely poised and played well enough.
- Screen designs to RBs and WRs was improved over last year, which isnt saying much since it sucked last year.
- Defense tackling improved

Bad
- Moten and Teradja Mitchell are castoffs for a reason. Limited athletic ability in the open field to make tackles and cover, better around the LOS. Theyre more situational players than starters.
- Marcus Burke and EWIII didnt know how to lineup at times, causing busted play and/or penalty. Need to be coached up
- Jason Marshall just lacks straight line speed.
- Mertz cannot bail out OL in avoiding sacks like AR could. Keeping Mertz a clean pocket is imperative
- Napier insistence on 12 formation (2 TE) in tight formations which just isnt the way to attack Utah. We had more success when we spread them out
- Defense getting play call in too slow at times, causing misalignment.
- Defense still giving up too many easy throws over the middle.
-Princely U. wasnt bad but hes not the elite edge some made him out to be. Freshman LT handled him fine for the most part
- LB and Nickel blitzing was telegraphed at times and not that effective.
- Jaydon Hill is not a starting nickel. Stiff and an ineffective blitzer.
-Inability of offense to stretch the field and create explosive plays. Mertzs lack of a big arm combined with questionable OL blocking means team wont respect us deep.

Ugly
- OL communication was poor. Assignment busts too many times.
- Slaughter, George, and Leonard are not Florida level starters.
- OL false start penalties
- Delay of game penalty in the red zone
- Special teams blunders: Fair catching ball inside 10 yard line, 2 #3 on field leading to a first down and ultimately a touch down, missed field goal (why Napier doesnt seem to value Kicker recruiting like Mullen did with Piniero and Mcpherson is beyond me.) Not enough men on field on field goal defense unit.
- Napier not getting the ball to his playmakers at a higher percentage until it was too late.
- No Boardingham after all the hype
