Every year they play the Peach Bowl golf tournament here at Reynolds Lake Oconee. The teams are the SEC and ACC coaches…usually the head coach but not always. They pair the coach with a “ringer” from that school. Saban used to play with Mark Ingram, Spurrier while at USCe played with Sterling Sharpe, Mullen played with Judd Davis. I don’t even know if Napier played this year or if UF was represented. They are very secretive for some reason and never announce it…it just sneaks up on you.
They air the event on ESPN the day or so before the Peach Bowl game in January, even though it is played in late April.
Anyway, spoiler alert…the winning team this year (played today) was Norvell paired with Urban Meyer.
