All we heard for 2 years is that Jimbo will be a bum once Winston leaves. Probably why they're so upset about Golson transferring.
2010: Jimbo is Ron Zook 2.0. Guy will be fired after three 8-5 type seasons.
2012: Jimbo is Mark Richt 2.0. Good enough to post a decent record but will never be elite.
2013-2014: Jimbo is Gene Chizik 2.0. He'll flop once Winston leaves.
2015: Golson is transferring to FSU? DAMMIT!
Exactly! When Golson looked at our depth chart and spring game, Jimbo didn't have to promise him anything. He knew, just like 100% of Noles knew, that he was good enough to beat out Sean McGuire.
That's my first post in years since being banned. Your board does not encourage opposing viewpoints, nor pointing out that many of the problems FSU endures with its student athletes are experienced at UF. The post that got me banned, by the way, was saying, "You guys want Winston to be guilty more than most people want oxygen." Guess that one stung a bit.
I weep so many tears for you martyr.....there is not even a comparison to the home field advantage we expect here and the level of censorship on YOUR board...but I bet you already know that, or you would not have come back. Have a nice evening lil bro.
Can you provide an SOS stat link for NCAA? I found Sagarin (which iirc you like); however, it only goes back to 1998.

I see those early Fisher criticisms are still making you guys sore. The funny part is, after UF boatraced FSU in 12' the calls for Fisher's head were loud. He had a losing record against ranked opponents at that point and the talk was that he would never get you guys over the hump and about how he underachieved with lots of talent. But you know, revisionist history and all that.
I used to be irritated with Jimbo Fisher.

I think it was more about getting the roster filled with his type players which are completely different than what Coach Bowden was recruiting when he got here. Jimbo loves huge offensive and defensive lineman. Coach Bowden preferred the smaller more nimble lineman. But that was yesterday's college football. Jimbo is a great recruiter and the roster is loaded with guys he hand picked. A repeat of '12 when you guys "boatraced" us won't happen anytime soon. Not saying you guys won't win, but it won't happen like that where you physically dominated us on both sides of the ball.
Of course there was frustration. We were coming out of the end of the Bowden era which was a disaster! And then to continue to lose 4 games made it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But like our OL coach Trickett said when he got here, he was asked to describe the OLineman on the roster. He used the word "weak". Thats never good! The roster needed a makeover and it took time to complete.

Exactly. Starting this year, I fully expect four loss Fisher to once again grace the Nole nation with some perplexing losses.
Two points. This is the first time I have read where an FSU fan actually admitted that Florida dominated the game. Most Noles says things like; "Hey, we went ahead in the 3rd quarter and were ahead going into the 4th. Therefore you guys got lucky cause should have won the game!"
No excuses, but Driskle Drisk'ed. But we then went back to the power game and dominated FSU in the 4th quarter. One of the few times that the power running game dominated a reasonably quality opponent.
Second point I actually agree with. When both teams are of a reasonable quality, rarely does one dominate the other, no matter which team wins. The National Championship game being an exception.
I only have one issue with your post.

Fsu was ahead in the 4th quarter with 9 minutes to go in the game. The wheels on the bus came off after EJ got destroyed.
Boat raced, squeaked by, got lucky, arse whoop'n....it doesn't really matter.

I get what you're saying. It's just my own personal hang up when the term boat raced, ass kicked, destroyed etc gets used.

I get what you are trying to say but to keep them from using whatever terms they want you have to win the damn game! It is what it is. I have no problem with them saying they destroyed us, kicked our ass, or even boatraced us! Because IMO they did. When you can't stop the run it means they pushed you around.
I'm active reading several FSU boards and I never saw anyone actually calling for Jimbo's job after 2012 or before. The whole nole fans wanted him fired is revisionist bs. Most noles understood the rebuilding process wasn't going to be overnight.
It's possible. We just lost double digits to the NFL for the third consecutive year. Team is extremely young. Doesn't make Jimbo a bad coach though.
Revisionist history like Fisher taking over a 7-6 program and winning 10 games in year 1 (and then people spinning it as a negative: "4 loss Fisher"). You guys will worship McElwain if he goes 10-4 this year.
I'll disagree with that some...Jimbo was already recruiting the players that he wanted for years before Bowden left...at least on offense and until Winston came you guys were just above average. Just goes to show that the QB position is the most important on the team...certainly on the offense. If you can get a guy who is clutch and win play QB then you can win a lot of games. I expect you guys to be very good because you have a good team and play a weak schedule.
