Worst Gator Baseball team in quite awhileAnd now Bama is going to eliminate them from the tourney. Another Bama team; another Gator loss.
Well we know what's the best thing about alabama....Mississippi....so you've got that going for you.And now Bama is going to eliminate them from the tourney. Another Bama team; another Gator loss.
Tough season for sure. Top rated recruiting class coming in...we will be fine. Can't go to Omaha every year.Worst Gator Baseball team in quite awhile

Don't see it happening. He's a Florida kid.LSU has Sully at the top of their list.
19-1? Were they trying to embarrass themselves to end the season worse than the football team?
I don't blame them...I wonder if anyone will ever be able to pry Corbin away from Vandy? Sully is one of the best in the business and UF will do what they can to keep him.I'm just telling you, as someone that currently lives in the Bayou State, that the moment Paul mainieri retired, Sully became their number 1 target.
You can add Spurrier to that list. He could have stayed as long as he wanted.Article quote from 2016
"The University of Florida baseball coach, heading into his 10th season at UF, signed a 10-year contract extension over the summer that keeps him with the Gators until at least 2025 and makes him the highest-paid college baseball coach in the country, the Miami Herald confirmed on Wednesday. The details of the contract: $1.25 million per year along with a $500,000 signing bonus. The contract also has a buyout clause worth $500,000 for each year remaining on the deal."
Even IF UF wanted a different baseball coach, which I don't think anyone would seriously believe, they wouldn't pay 2.5 million to buy him out of the rest of his contract. This ain't football.
Sully reminds me of Billy Donovan. BD could have spent the rest of his life coaching UF with little pressure and top pay. He was/is that loved. Sully is probably the only other athletics coach that has been close to that. Nobody is gonna outbid UF for him if it were a financial matter.
Frankly, if Sully leaves....it would only be because he wanted new scenery. There's not really any substantial reason to do a "current/modern day" lateral move.
This was a team that needed to be tough and gritty to overcome some defects in talent. But they were far from either. And they just gave up after losing to USF.19-1? Were they trying to embarrass themselves to end the season worse than the football team?
I understand Edge and Butler, but Acton was getting some solid playing time.Corey Acton, Brock Edge and Jordan Butler have entered the transfer portal.
May be the GOAT of Gator coaches in spite of never winning a national title. Class act.Mary Wise....

Is O Sullivan your baseball coach? Is there smoke with him to another team? Someone said this about a week ago and i forgot to ask. I havent been watching baseball, more focused on softball at the moment

As far as I know, its just rumors. LSU's coach is retiring after this season due to medical issues, and some people think Sully will be the prime target to replace him.
I'm not saying LSU won't take a shot....but as of now I think the situation reminds me of UK fans saying Billy D bought some property in Kentucky several years ago.
