Gator Volleyball Takes Down #1 Texas

3 sets to 1 in front of 7500+ in the Exacttech Center, about double what usually goes to a baseball game. The crowd was raucous and the Gators opened their season playing very well beating #1 Texas. It was on the SEC Network. You talk about some athletes. Both teams are loaded with quality players. Gators take on #5 Nebraska tomorrow at 5 pm, also on the SEC Network. For those "major" sports only fans, give the volleyball match Saturday a shot. You might be impressed. Mary Wise has won 876 games and 22 SEC titles. And I don't recall any of her players ever getting into trouble and almost all of them graduate. Incredible program she has built.

You keep saying that about Kirsti Merritt. Why keep bringing it up if it's true? I went to the same high school that she did, only 50 years ago. She's a heck of a softball player and seems like a good kid and teammate.
