I really think, and I'm a bit of a homer, that we are going to have a great our year. I think that Rio is going to be the man...I think that Mac will continue to produce a QB that can make good decisions-until WG went out last year we had a kid that could play decent and make plays, as long as our O line is decently healthy line we will be much better than last year, our RB's are very good, our skill guys are going to produce, TE's have talent and produce..and it looks like we have a guy that can probably kick field goals...our D will be stout again. I like the way that we look...if we stay healthy and have a good game planning I think we have a good chance to have a nice season.

We're gonna be good. But we might not win the East.

Great skill, like we haven't seen in what seems like forever. Great to have a functioning kicker. I don't think a game manager is the long term solution, for Mac to take the next step he is going to have to find a playmaker at QB. We may have one on the roster. With a game manager we we have a ceiling that we won't exceed

If our rush offense can get in the top 40-50, then the offense should be fine. If not, it'll look similar to how it looked last year. Love our backs, love the TE's, and love the potential of the younger receivers. But Del Rio is a guy who is gonna need a lot of support to make an offense good. Which means o-line has to be on point and we have to have a really good running game to take pressure off.

I was listening to 1010XL yesterday - tuned in while Frank Frangie and Grady Ackerman were playing an interview with some guy who sounded very experienced, worldly wise in terms of his football knowledge, and like a coach who was very much in charge. I nearly wrecked my car on JTB when they said it was Luke DelRio.
He has really absorbed a lot of football knowledge, and an unreal capability of speaking to the press (and handling interviews with them) that if matched by ability on the field will be amazing. Unfortunately for opponents. ;)

The 1-2 at QB is the biggest question imoho. The rest of the team will go as they go.
Every other position group is solid and better than last season imo.

I'm again giving them the 'Dark Horse' rating for the SECe.
And I agree that @ Tennis-sea will be the standard setter for the season.
GooooooooooooooGATORS!

I'm not sure about Del Rio..you might be right..but IMO you're right..O Line is going to need to be on point...they don't have to be the greatest but they do need to be on point for this season to be good. D will be legit this year but O Line has to produce and I think that they will be much improved..how much...not sure but I'm ready to see it.

I think UF's offense will average 32-33 PPG and finish around #45 in scoring. The defense should be about the same as last year. They'll dominate the lesser teams, but may struggle a little against better competition. Bowl game included, I see UF going 10-3 or 9-4.

If the O line can stay healthy and protect Del Rio we will be fine I think, Del Rio seems to be able to read things quickly and make good decisions. We have play makers at WR like we haven't had in a long time and good RB's. Its all going to fall on the O line. The D seems like it should about the same as last year. I think we go 10-2 (7-1) with a loss to Tennessee but still win the east

Did you watch the SEC Championship replay last night? As depressing as it was I just couldn't help but feel optimistic about this season for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it is scary just how dominant this defense can be. When was the last time you saw a defense as fast & physical as Bama's? Florida led Alabama most of the first half with zero offense. It was a 12-7 game halfway through the 3rd quarter. When Grier was still at quarterback it gave those guys a break and lord knows you could've been talking playoff had it all not hit the fan LSU week. We had zero offense the rest of the season. But, I agree this year the offense should click, the offensive line will be better, as you mentioned, the backfield is loaded, I really like Goolsby at TE, we finally have some playmakers & speed at receiver and they are following Callaway's lead. It is imperative that the first 3 games we let Del Rio get loose and show out. That game in Knoxville is going to set the tone for the season. You're either a one loss team going into a must win scenario against LSU, or we're 5-0 and have some swagger that evening in the Swamp (I'll see you in Section 4). If we can make it to LSU 5-0 I like our chances, even if we split LSU & UGA. (I'm also pretty stoked that Spurrier will be "advising Coach Mac & the offensive staff," even though he wanted to make clear he's not coaching anything ;-)

I too saw some positive light from the SeCCG. To be able to hang with the National Champs with nearly zero offense made me optimistic.
