So what's the opinion after losing to LOYOLA-CHICAGO at home? I know some posters only care about football, others say basketball only counts at tournament time. But considering that the Gators started so hot, since the last 7 minutes of the Duke game they have played absolutely horrible. Blown out by FSU and now losing to Loyola of Chicago where they only only scored 59 points. 3 losses in a row and now have to play a very good Cincinnati team in Newark, New Jersey. I'm disappointed, 2-19 from the 3 point line and only 59 points? Give me a break. And they beat us with their starting point guard hurt and out the 2nd half. UF has serious issues right now.

We've been exposed, if we dont shoot 40% from 3 we cant win. Hayes has great hustle but man hes soft. Unfortunately its probably going to be this way all season. Good recruuting class coming in next year though

We’ll be fine. Bad loss...they gotta find a wais to finish inside. The basket interference call was a joke.
We are undersized and thats not going to change. We have to knock down triples to win. Sec is big time better this year

I thought the interference call at the end was correct. Considering how much better the SEC is this year, this COULD be a disappointing year for the Gators. It was supposed to be Kentucky & us, then everybody else. Think the conference is pretty deep this year. We'll see.

This is not a coaching thing.
It's also not an individual player talent thing.
It's solely a 'TEAM' thing and only the players can fix it.

I'd start a 5 man Fr team, and let the others attempt to earn their way back into playing time from off the backup bench.... (but then, I can be a bit of a hard-azz when it comes to player effort). Sometimes a coach needs to open up some ears before things can change...

It's unbelievable how they went from truly amazing the 1st 5 games and the first 30 minutes of the Duke game to truly pitiful since then. It seems like when they were shooting lights out the confidence and effort was there, but as soon as they went cold from outside the whole team went into a funk and got lazy. INSTA is right, IMO, it's a team thing and it's in their heads.

Here is a mind set that could probably do well for some upperclassmen basketball players:

"You always want to finish your career really well,'' Joseph said. "Because of my whole career journey, I had no expectations. I think that was the best way for me to play the best that I am playing right now. I still have no expectations. If my coaches told me tomorrow that I'm not starting, I'd be like, 'OK.' It was the best way for me. (a TEAM 1st Player)

"I want to play volleyball after I'm done here. I want to play professionally and play for my national team and go to the Olympics, so my goal every day I step onto the court, I'm trying to get better as an athlete. I'm trying to learn as much as I can so I can be the best athlete I can be. The rest will fall into place." -- OH Shainah Joseph rsSr (40.5 Vert)
