Agree completely.Treon has an entire season of games under his belt half way through his college career and he looks worse than ever.
Grier doesn't miss on that wide open pass to Callaway in the first quarter. A halfway decent pass there and we take a 7-0 lead. It's plays like that can cause you to lose games. The first pass of the game Goolsby is wide open for a 10 yard gain. The pass was so bad and behind Goolsby that we only make 1 yard. Bad pass after bad pass and missed opportunities add up and Harris
Grier was also getting his first starts and PT this year and he would at least had the opportunity to improve as the season progressed. Harris has quite a few starts under his belt and he's regressing. He's just not a QB.
The play calling is fine other than we throw too much on first down. But no playcalling is going to make Harris all of a sudden throw a pass in the vicinity of his WRs.
The team is well coached but still missing some critical pieces. No oline and no QB.
He's terrible. I can't believe he's actually worse than Driskel.Lol Treon had literally no clue he was about to get sacked.
The best thing to happen to Grier in hindsight might have been the suspension. Otherwise all these issues would have caught up with him and y'all would be ripping him apart just the same.
Sorry buddy. As you have pointed out, the offense was just as bad in other areas when Grier ws the QB. He makes quick decisions, finds open receivers and runs with authority.
IOW, not Treon.
Treon is damn putrid. Terrible arm strength, terrible accuracy, can't see a blitz coming a mile away, holds on to the ball forever and a year, doesn't take off when there are wide open running lanes - anything else?
When we kick and hit the upright, it bounces OUT. *facepalm*
This is not an elite defense. It is good. But we should have at least 13 to 17 point on the board right now. If Treon could hit wide open receivers. The ones he threw to, not the ones he refused to throw to.Against bad defenses. When we played any decent ones, like Mizzou, we got held to 2 offensive TD's, none of which came from the QB. The three best defenses we've played have been during the last few stretch of games. To pretend as if all would be right by switching one player out is just naive. Unless he was gonna block and run for himself, that bullshit doesn't fly against good defenses. Which Vandy, UGA, FSU, etc are. You can't be that one dimensional. Again, Grier is better and the offense would be better now. But not to the degree people like to pretend. There's too much romanticizing going on right now.
Sorry...Harris has gotten progressively worse since LSU. Grier was getting better. No way we need OT to beat FAU with Grier. Or need late score to beat Carolina by 10. Or late FG to beat Vandy.Against bad defenses. When we played any decent ones, like Mizzou, we got held to 2 offensive TD's, none of which came from the QB. Should we kick a field goal? Or go for it no matter what
