This unfortunately is what happens when you have “gun free” zones. The shooting lasts far longer than it normally would because none of the victims can defend themselves.
You might as well just put up a sign saying “no one here can protect themselves. You’ll encounter no resistance when committing your crime.”

Shooter is 20 years old and son of a 17 year Leon County deputy officer. He certainly had access to guns.

That and I think giving young kids ADHD medicine is messing them up when most just needed a belt. It's nuts how public schools try to force parents to put all these kids on ADHD pills now.
They tried to do that BS to my wife's grandchild. She and her son and DIL said not no, but HELL NO.
I wonder if this shooter left anything about why he did this. You can only guess but seeing a picture of him my guess is he did get picked on at school besides probably being put on behavior meds (which the media never addresses even though most of these school shooters were on them). I think about the only thing you can do is to limit having soft target gun free zones. With how colleges are set up don't see how you could have a quicker response without allowing concealed carry.
That and anti-depressants give you homicidal and suicidal thoughts. Why anyone would purposely take that crap is beyond me. Perhaps we should start to prosecute therapists who are prescribing this medication and hold them accountable too. Bet the prescriptions would free fall after that.
