I'd bet on it. Why else would they rest him last week? And Clemson's defense is inconsistent. They can be really, really good at times. Other times they may as well not be on the field.
In almost every statistical category, Clemson is better than FSU. In most cases, much better. And they have played a tougher schedule.
But dayum, I will believe they will get past the FSU jinx when they get past the FSU jinx.
So the ACC is 3-4 vs the SEC, but still has THREE teams ranked in the Top 10 vs the SEC's one team.

Auburn over Louisville
USCjr over UNC
UGA over GT
LSU over Cuse
ACC Wins
Louisville over Kentucky
Clemson over USCjr
FSU over UF
You nicely illustrate the difference between the two conferences. USCe might be the worse team in our conference but they beat probably what will turn out to be the best team in the acc. That would have less than 0% chance have happening the other way.
I don't think that particular game illustrates much. Last year Virgnia Tech beat Ohio state AT Ohio State. Ohio State won the national championship and Tech finished 3-5 in the ACC.
I see three Top 10 teams in the ACC. I see one in the SEC.
Week 1 is a whole lot different than the end of the season. Some teams get better and some get a lot worse.
So when you guys discuss SEC dominance over the ACC and its continued presence among the upper-echelon of the Top 25, it's a discussion. However, when I bring up the fact the ACC had 3 teams in the Top 10, I'm offered a cookie?

I see FSU has a 100% winning record against the Sun Belt conference, but that site suggests UF does too, and we know that's not the case...

The record vs South Carolina is far more lopsided in our favor considering we played them annually prior to their joining the sec. We beat them down every year.
I really couldnt care less about conference smack. I worry about my own team. I dont try and ride the coattails of the others to try and make up for my own team losing.

When your top team has an L to one of our bottomfeeders (and they took your #2 team to the mat) it makes the top 10 seem silly. ACC has improved over the past two years for sure, but not to the point they should be considered a top conference. Everything that went well on offense happened to make the score look worse in the 4th quarter from what Treon had done leaving the defense out there. All of their highlights came in the last 10 minutes of the game. Treon is so embarassing he got us blown out by an ACC team.
Patently untrue, as usual. How bout McGuire's 50 yard pass to Whitfield, which set up the first td? That's not a highlight?
How about Cook's 40 yard burst that completely flipped the field early in the 3rd? Props to your db for getting his heel or he's gone for 80.
In fact Jimbo called several nice plays that flipped field position, but I don't expect you'd admit it.

funny u talk about how great the sec is and how bad the acc is. the acc went 5-2 against the sec last year and 3-1 against the sec saturday lol
It looks to me today that the sorry ass acc has 3 teams in the top 10 (3-1/2 if you count nd, which I don't) while the se-nfl south-c only has 1. How can that be? Somebody told me that the acc also has a nc more recently than the se-nfl south-c. It also appears that the #1 team today is from the acc. There is also a rumor out there that the acc went 3-1 against the mighty se-nfl south-c during rival week. So which conference is better this year? Obviously the se-nfl south-c, hands down. Not even close. Ask espn if you don't believe me.
also lets look at the history of the peach bowl which started showcasing the sec vs the acc in 1993. the series is tied between both conferences at 11-11. if the acc is so bad can someone explain to me how the acc has a 8-3 advantage over the sec in head to head matchups the last 2 years and a dead locked 11-11 head to head peach bowl matchup.

How is beating USCjr "embarrassing"? USCjr never led and their TD with one sec left on the clock made the game look closer than it actually was.
No, he doesn't realize that because he likes to take snapshots of history like one day last Saturday compared to the season, or one year last year compared to all the years before that.
