In a shocking move in the contentious litigation initially filed by FSU against the ACC, the league, on Sunday, amended its pleading to include a counterclaim against FSU for fraud.
The claim contends that FSU is intentionally losing games to devalue the league itself. The claim argues that FSU has devised a plan for the league to willingly dismiss FSU from the league for poor performance, thereby harming the rest of the conference.
“We’re not falling for this bullish!t,” said ACC Competition Quality Spokesman, Les Sukington. “This is an intentional slap in the face of the league. Florida State is intentionally making a mockery of our conference to leverage its objectives of being thrown out. We’re not going to stand for that.”
FSU Football Operations spokesperson, Red Bozonovich, denied the allegations. “Look, we genuinely suck,” said Bozonovich. “But we haven’t quit. Did you see our dude cheerleader? We’ve moved him to the front row of all our ACC televised contests because he gives 100% and inspires our garbag…err…team. We’re not trying to embarrass the league at all (wink).”
The filing requests that the Court enjoin FSU from its intentionally poor performance.
“There is no way a Power 4 Team could honestly suck this bad,” claims the filing. “We urge the Court to order FSU to commence playing real football immediately.”
No date for any hearings have been set. FSU is 1-8 in play this season.
